lol nice new sig addage there fuzzy.
yea i tried it out. was having some trouble getting 5 kills since cheats were on and fuzzy was invincible or something and knifed our hive to death. so i never got to be the gorgelaus before i left but i saw a few people as it and it seemed pretty neat.
Got it running on my server, but im not quite sure one how to become that huge gorge, i accumulated oiver 21,000 points and im pretty sure i had more then 5 kills.. what do i need to do to transform into that?
if you guys wanna try it its at 24.161.158.161 (Billcat's Wak Hawaii) let me know if you get to transform properly
I never figured out how to be megagorge, so I just wrote a plugin (using the gorge bit from this one) called VictoryGorge that just makes you a big freakin gorge with tons of weapons to pwn all turtling marines <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> I like the balance changes in this one tho... but I never could get it to work properly. It would always say the hive was under attack.
Whoever asked about adminmod, no this doesn't work with it. amxmod.net should have some tutorials on how to set it up on a listenserver (any type of server really)
If I overwrite all these models isn't that going to overwrite any clients installs that connect?
That would make me too happy.
1. pbal.amx install at nsp/addons/amx/plugin folder 2. alien1.mdl over write at nsp/models/player/alien1 3. alien3.mdl over write at nsp/models/player/alien3 4. alien5.mdl over write at nsp/models/player/alien5 5. gorgelaus.mdl move at nsp/models/player/alien5
THe balancechanges are nice though <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Daddy, these instructions are for server operators only! Do not overwrite your own models! If you attempt to join on some gorgelaus server, all models will autodownload, don't worry..
I know. Read my msg: "any clients installs that connect" - connect to my server.
Won't they download and overwrite the client's models?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->
they would, but i dont think the models are named the same filename <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Yes they are, the same names. Look at the list I cut and paste from the instructions. It says OVERWRITE. If this plugin overwrites your regular model files that ain't good.
Daddys concerns seem valid to me. The plugin replaces some of the ns files on the server. (modles) Altho i dont belive the server can make u overwrite the clients files, this does raise the issues of what the server gonna do to client if they wont take em. are they even diffrent ?
Yes I also agree that daddy has some valid concerns The best thing to do would be to make the server dl the models to a different folder of models and then use them. It would be too much of a hassle to actually keep reinstalling the models over and over again....

It's completely safe, no overwrites on client.. They won't be downloaded to client, as superefl said, you can optionally download them to match sizes server is using (server has smaller hitboxes because of smaller models, so if you want to match it, you can download smaller models too).

To become a super gorge is my new goal in life.
I also agree that daddy has some valid concerns

No. The client's models will remain the same. You just install those models onto the server, and it'll work from there. The only model the client will need to download will be the gorgealaus one.
but don't wanna use resize model then don't overwrite.
That is your choice.
client only download gorgelaus model at both case.
