Help: Leap

<div class="IPBDescription">Leap doesn't move me</div> When I play in combat and I select the 3rd ability upgrade, I try leaping, but my skulk doesn't move forward. The swiping claws animation plays but I don't go anywhere. I stay in one stop.

This has never happened before. I tried changing servers and restarting my computer, but that doesn't help.

I didn't try leap in ns_ mode though.

Please help.

Also move before you leap, if you just stand there, you wont go very far if anything.

No, you guys don't get it. Leap doesn't move at all. I tried jumping and duck jump... everthing. It doesn't move me a single inch.

Also, there is, what looks like, the end of a Command Prompt box to the left-hand side of my screen. I appears when I pick leap in combat. I think it might have something to do with it.

I get that a lot, and i know some other ppl that do too.
Leap takes energy, but it doesn't move you. Getting an upgrade or F4/Join usually fix it.

And that Command Promt is always there for me in Combat.

It's a bug that can occur at times. Try other servers or wait a day, it <b>usually</b> goes away.

Hmm. See if you have "cl_lc" and/or "cl_lw" set to 0. Then try enabling them. At least that fixed my problems with leap (and blink) in 2.01 and steam beta.

I've had this bug once. It was on a ns_ map and our 2nd hive had just gone up. I tried to leap but couldn't. I scrolled on my mousewheel to bring up the little weapon icons in the top left and all but bite were red, so I couldn't leap or parasite.

That bug still has not been fixed? geez, thats a lag related issue being on 56k i get alot of lag spikes and if im spawning or evoleing and lag my weapons sometimes go red and cannot be used, tho if i take an upgrade they go back to normal.

Problem fixed: I had "cl_lw" set to 0. I changed it back to 1 and leap works fine now.

that happens to me at times two, or something at the very beginning I can't even bite, or parasite..you'd think they would have fixed by now <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />
