1. How do I create a NS Server?

2.How do I get it going?

    for a listen server, IE: one you can play on, choose internet games>create game, and there you go. you'll be running a game on your machine that anyone on the net can cannect to, but they will probably have fairly poor connection speeds. your best bet for a server is a dedicated, for which you run:
    START>PROGRAMS>NATURAL SELECTION>NATURAL SELECTION DEDICATED SERVER
    I don't know much about dedicated servers though. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> they're faster and more reliable than listen servers, but you can't play in that game, and you need a quality connection. better if someone who sets them up helps you out.

    Though if you want people to be able to join you will have to edit your listenserver.cfg with notepad(located in your ns directory), check for something that says sv_lan 1 and either put // infront of it, or set it to 0, or remove it altogether.
    And there are some other "Console VARiables"(cvar) in there that you will probably want to change.

    I think my server will be pretty fast, cuz i have 2PCs, so I make a dedicated server.

    my first PC Pen4 2.2 RAM 1024

    2nd Pc Pen4 2.5 RAM 1024

    Is this ok to create a server?

    If you want to learn how to setup a dedicated server, goto server.counter-strike.net. It's not natural selection, but the basic server setup is identical. Just take out any references to cs-specific variables, forget about statsme, and everything else should fit right into place. If you still have trouble try getting a cs server working as there's tons of documentation out there to help you. Once you work out the kinks with that, the change to ns should be easy.

    Ok, i installed the hlserver4110, and installed the server file thing from this website.

    now i have to make a short cut and put the code thing right?

    -game ns +port 27014 -maxplayers 10 +map ns_bast

    after i click the hlds short cut on my desktop

    comes out. i cant get it going after this
