Interesting shape, but I dont think the door texture fits very well - too dirty, in comparison with...well, everything else?
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
Yeah, I've thought about that... but, I decided I might change it later to a different texture. In the meantime, this is what everything looks like on my VHE!

Looks good but that door makes no sense. How is it supposed to open if there is a glass window above it?
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
There is space inbetween the glass so the door fits inside, and the glass fits around it perfectly. A little tip here, the glass is func_breakable so if an alien wanted to get inside the base he could bite at the glass and open it right up... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
  • Generic_HumanoidGeneric_Humanoid Join Date: 2004-06-12 Member: 29255Members
you should give the func_breakable a lot of health so it takes awhile to break it open.
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
Maybe so... I'll think about it.

lollers. That would be pretty funny.

Looking pretty good so far, keep it up.

the door could open down... if you wanted to use it. it doesn't have to open up
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
I wnat it to open up. You see, the whole strategy is to be able to break the glass open and head through the door before it crushes him.
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
Here we go! New update on a hallway I made that links that glass room area with the one with the resource tower. I decided to use some neato effects:

ummm, the computer screens look kindof deep into the walls...

There honesly isn't alot to criticize

What is going on with that wire, it looks knowticably like a strand of pixles...
  • Once_OnlyOnce_Only Join Date: 2004-05-15 Member: 28700Members
The walls are looking a bit square there.
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
Well the walls have a flat surface on the right, and then on the left it goes straight about halfway, curves 30 degrees, and then continues on.

The yellow pipes, are they going trough the red pipes? Maybe you could make the pipes go arround the corner to the left into the wall. Also the wires, they look like they don't serve a purpose.
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
No they arent going through, they are just meeting up with those red ones. As for the wires, they are supposed to be connected to the wall... I'll check on that.

You need a border for the floor under those computer screens. The floor texture looks odd disapearing at 45 degrees. Maybe make a triangle, with trims and put an diffrent floor tex in the middle.
