As to the lighting, I think chrono was going on about there being only one global light in that area, the blue light.
The texture in the red area should be something different since it now looks out of place I'm afraid...
Your could put a light texture in the green areas, (orange or yellow or maybe even a little bit darker blue as the one near the near the ceiling). use texture lighting and place a lightspot (same color ofcourse as the textured light and maybe a brightness of 64-128, just play arround wiht these values) use with the angle of the green arrow... these additions should spice up your lighting a bit <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

now, for the real criticism...make the textured lighting slightly darker, and make the spot lights brighter...or else a rabid monkey will attack you in your sleep
Teh Oh Noes! Anyway, I'll have another update for another room I am doing, and I know you guys are gonna love it... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

did noone else see that he has FOURTEEN res nodes? that's insane! both teams will get res so fast... or just one team... either way
<a href='http://www.natural-selection.org/Mapping_Guidelines.html' target='_blank'>"3-8 res nodes" says the almighty NS Mapping Guidelines</a> 8-10 isn't bad, but 14 is a bit much.

Looking good but I suggest placing 1 light (brightness value 255 255 255 48)in front of the button. Why? Because it looks nice <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
also make it a little smaller (not sure about this, but it does look BIG compared to the door <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
I had a friend of mine complain about how it was too small, but trust me, its not too small, and it DEFINATELY is only about 1/3 of the size of my original ready room. I'll add that light as you said, and then I'll add some more.
I am leaving that door there, primarily because it not only took me 2 hours to mold that door into what it is now, but also because I like it there... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

However, light shines from the blue tubes, the green tube, and of course from outside, and ALSO the blue light lining around the windows...
