With carapace and adrenaline, a single gorge can take on the average light/lmg marines and win pretty easily. Add a structure to dance around and it's a sure thing.

With over 2 gorges, you should go all gorgy-orgy with heal spray flying all over and move over to the marine(s). It's very hard to kill a group of healing gorges, and the heal spray doesn't do any good to the marine getting it.

A bit of advice for the gorgies.
There is no chance of out fighting a good marine as a gorge in the beginning of the game. Just hope that the marine isnt a good one, and procede in what u are doing to get away/kill him. U have to remember that Aliens are at the disadvantage at the beginning of the game if teams are evenly skilled. Rine's have range, u dont, and u cant take too many hits. Only if u have a realllly good team on both sides, or if ur team is better than the rine's will u stand a good chance of taking the beginning as an advantage. BUT, toward the middle/end of the game, many of the res **** tend to start evolving, giving gorges no choice but to stay perma gorge unless they want their team to loose. Dropping hives and DC's and MT's for the others is the only thing to do. Rine's are skrwd if they dont move in fast and powerfuly on the aliens when the aliens are moving in and building the 3rd hive. A gorge is most diverted then. GO around healing people? Run away? Take ur line behind the attack line and start building OC's? or maybe stay back and start building DC's for the hives sake. Go and battle gorge? Th only way to play depends on ur team. Can u rely on ur team to protect u? do they rely on u yet they do nothing for u. Are they capable of keeping them selves alive but not u. Are they capable of doing both. How many hives do u have. Is the commander faking a rush. If not by a hive, are u able to run away? can u redemp in tiem if u have redemp? will u take dpwn at least 2 rines? can u protect the area till backup arives? can u protect the aera but die urself? All of this is important to the gorge, and the only thing that can tell u waht to do is experiance.

At the beginning of the game, if u drop an rt, best drop it in a good place, otherwise, ull have to drop 2 OC's. or else face loosing it fast. If u drop in a good palce, drop another rt. When u do so, go around, scout out the palce, go to front line and help out in slowing to rine advance to taking the hives and/or rt hunting. IF u re to drop 2 DC's, then u must have a good team that will take advantage of it, and will be able to drop other rt's. IF u drop the DC's, reember to drop it in a good place. Good palce as in a vent under a almost always rine rt that will most likely be electrified. They wont bother to siege it, and if they do, they are going to loose bad, or win with perfection. For example. On ns_eclpise. Drop 2 dc's under powersub rt. That way ur guys can the rt out when it is elec. Powersub is almost impossible to take for the rines and the aliens. Good idea to do so.

    thats it for now.

Okay... this thread is pretty much degrading into spam; repeating the same stuff over and over.

    The short summation:

The most popular suggestion is 'run away'.

If you have the skill, just kill the Marines coming after you. Simple.
