Dumb Commander Question

Not on dumb Com's, but on me being dumb
How do you issue orders and waypoints to troops? I figured out that left clicking makes you lay out structures and create weapons and ammo, and that it selects troops both by clicking and by dragging a box over them, but how do you issure orders? When I left click on the screen, to tell the troops to move to a waypoint, I can't figure out if I sent them a waypoint or selected dirt. Does right click do this? How is it done?

alright slash welcome aboard to Com Land ™ .

yeah u left click mostly to build structures, give the marines new toys and even to drop ammo and heatlh paks on em.

its best to control ur marines at the start. once u have control of the CC, left click and drag (this will hightlight a green area) so u get all your marines. Now they all have GREEn indication circles around them. If u see these, ur doing correct. Right onto the next step. Once u have them all mostly in a group, get them to build structures or head to way points (wp) by using the right mouse button.

always remember that left click selects and right click does the actions i.e welding pts. It is pretty similiar to how most RTS games work too.

I'm not quite a a 'n00b' commander or anything, I can command just fine, but there is one thing that I'm wondering. Is there a way to zoom out of your view? There are some times when I want to select a bunch of guys and give them a way point, but I'm not able to get them all in my screen because I'm zoomed in too close. So, I'm wondering if you can zoom out. Conventional ways (Hold ALT, CTRL, Shift, etc.) do not work, so I'm thinking not, but I'll ask anyway.

With that said, I'm also wondering if you can group a selection of players so that you don't need to keep selecting them to give them waypoints, again I don't think so, but I can't seem to find any documentation on this.

    Any help is much obliged.

stelth: zoom? i doubt that it works ( this isnt WC3 ya know ) in the current version. But hell...probly in future versions since they have already done a top down view anything else can be possible.

as for the group select no u will have to manually select a/all soldier/s to go to wps. Numbering them would be really be great to keep track of things i.e where the marines are.

That's a shame they're not in now. I'm sure it's been discussed and discarded for reasons we don't know. But I think it could be a good idea. Oh well.
