OK, this is just a run down of what everything is planned out like so far, more for my reference.

    Height - 3 foot 6 inches
    Width - 2 foot
    Depth - 2 foot 6 inches
(these are just numbers we have right now for easy building, we're building a model in AutoCAD over the next few days, and I am sure these will change, but still go ahead and bash them <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->). We obviously had to change the dimensions a little to make it a practical unit, it's gonna look a little skinnier depth wise than the original unit and maybe a smidgen shorther.

    Design
As close as possible to as you see it. Going to be adding infestation using a form of styrofoam and water cooling pipes around some of the top/sides. The top cover over the display will flip down into a table housing the keyboard and mouse instead of going into the top.

    Materials
The main frame is still in a little bit of debate. We're looking for something light, but sturdy. The 3 ideas I have heard are steel tubes, aluminum rods or light iron rods. If anyone has any insight here, please, indulge me.
Around that we will likely be wrapping aluminum around the outside of all that. It is a fairly light metal, and we can easily bent and shape it into the smaller details of the arms lab. It will be held together by rivets.
Worm Gears + Pulley system to move the monitor. These worm gears have immense torque and won't budge when not moving, while not being very speedy. Perfect for our use.
3, 120mm low RPM fans. 2 for intake, one for outtake. Intakes are going near the bottom, outtake at the topback.
Wheels + Handles. This thing is going to be big, and heavy, we gotta be able to move it!
Power. The other area Im not too sure on just yet. Im assuming I will be needing more than what one power supply offers, but Im not sure what the best route is just yet, suggestions?

    The Speakers!
I have 5 speaker surround sound and thus we are going to be modding each of the back satellites into turrets, and the subwoofer into the Turret Factory. The legs are going to be made out of a light aluminum most likely, and using a short round tube, we are going to add turret barrels to the back of each speaker. The TF will more than likely not have any moving parts (cost issue).

Hopefully I will have some autocad stuff by the weekend here and we can go blow my life savings getting all the parts <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

(Side note, we have almost all the tools we need, riveting gun, welder, etc, no worries there).

Sounds incredible, really have to see the pictures!

I was gonna suggest that if you make the main tower really mariney then make everything thats attached to it Alien. So the mouse, keyboard, monitor etc are infested and the ports are where they connect you can see the fight... just a thought.

I just like mods with an over-all theme.

You gotta add damage to it, sentry shot holes? scratched sides from a leap? Just a Big indent hole from an onos..

    Turret holes wouldn't work as its a marine building. We don't want friendly fire do we? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

but 3 slashmarks going left right top down would look nice if you did it right. Or a hole from an Onos' horn going through the metal.

Only do this if you think you can do it well and good the first try. If the budget is as large as you say it is we don't want to be running your bank account dry because of screw ups

    screw ups <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> your bank account

if i had the time and/or resources for it...
i'd make the comm chair the comp case...

to open the case, just slide it out like a com chair...
the little window thingy on the comm chair would be the start button =)

the ideas i liked were the on about the mouse being a turret factory, thats doable
the case with the infestation is well not cool. Make a case with the TSA theme, that would be much easier/feasible than other stuff

    tat skulk mouse pwns

I dont think there should be a hive on the tower, its just out of shape there.

The ns casemod should look like an infested (damaged) command chair.
the tires inside should be green infested ones.

The mouse is a gestation egg.

I dont know how much a case weighs, about 3 kg i guess. Anywho you could hang it off something like a hive, and ofcourse it would be shaped like a hive <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Tried making a concept but it was too complex, so scratch that.

I would have to just lurk, if you dont post pics in off-topic when its done i will cry <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If you do end up making an arms lab, keep it so you can open one of the compartments only to reveal pop/a TSA handgun/spare parts.

Whoever posted that concept image of the computer with the Hive infestation and orange circle on the side, here's my idea:

Make the orange circle kind of bulge out like a hubcap and make it semi-transparent with orange neon lights lining the inside.

(it would suit the hive's shape so well)

I feel inspired by this, so I'm taking on the infested idea for my upcoming case mod. Should be interesting to see how different Comprox's case turns out(marine side) as opposed to an Alien case.
