Eject Commander + Other Few Problems/suggestions

<div class="IPBDescription">Gah the n00bs have found it already :/</div> The Eject commander button was ment to be an anti-n00b thing but ive noticed that is getting abuse by n00bs alot now. Ive been ejected 4-5 times now and banned from commanding until the map is over just because one marine didnt get his way, thinking of only himself and why he hasnt got a hmg... <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Can you add a feature to unban a commander or something? Its frustrating to be banned when half of the marines say your doing an excellent job and a select few get you banned <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Maybe even the ability to vote no to the eject, that would be great too.

Also can you make it so it shows when a vote has started even when youve turned auto help off?

Another feature for the commander that i think is needed: When someone requests ammo or health or an order, either have their name come up someone saying what they need or have their dot on the radar flash. Its quite difficult to find people half the time.

Theres also another bug with the commander mode with selection turrect factories. In one instance i had a group of 4 turrets down in a corridor and a factory next to them. When i went to upgrade the factory i couldnt highlight it. Instead if would highligh one of the turrets which was nowhere near it. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

A suggestion for the turrets abuse also:
Make it either cost 1 resource point more per 2-3 turrets or make it so one turret factory can only control a certain amount of turrets around it.
Its unfair that the alien turrets are limited yet the marines are not. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Another bug, this time with armouries. They sometimes lose their health bars. Its still blue circled but it has no yellow bars in it. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Thats it for now, until i think of something else to add...

    Something that happened in a game I was playing was this: (at least I think this is how it went)

    Person *A* was in the commander chair, but everyone wanted Person *B* in. Someone started a vote to kick *A* out of the chair, but he got out on his own and *B* got in. The vote succeeded and banned *B* from it.

    I think the votes should cancel when the commander gets out of the chair, or maybe they already do and the vote was started before we noticed the change in commander.

    Actually that would be a bad idea.

    The Person A could just exiting the commanders chair when the vote is started and cancell the vote, then get right back in.

    The average server's vote-ban requires 33% of the marine's consent. This is way, way too low. Oftentimes, if I'm commanding a team of around 6 players, I'll be doing entremely well, leading the marines to vicotry, making smart purchases and attacks, and generally allowing our team to kick the alien's ass (BTW, this is in the servers w/out the tweaked resources...I don't have infinite resources to work with). I might have 4 players who love me and follow my every order, because they know I'm a good commander...but all it takes is two llamas, and I'm kicked out against most of the team's consent. I've been kicked out of a commander seat simply because I didn't give two players armor/guns EXACTLY when they want it (and here's the kicker: they are too far away from the base for me to even be able to drop the afforementioned weapons...try explaining that to a n00b). Or, somebody might simply want to try his hand at commanding...and since I'm the one holding the keys, he initiates a kick against me. Thanks to 2 llamas, 4 other players and myself might simultaeneously say "WTF?!?" as I am kicked randomly from the CC. It's utterly lame.

    I think the solution is simply to make the default CC-kick setting 66%. That way, I'll have to have 4 out of six players wanting me out of the CC rather than two...and that is a much, much more fair voting system.

    I agree.. I was trying to learn (noone else wanted to command anyway) commanding.. not easy when it only takes two inpatient guys to kick you because you didnt give them HMG right away.. The game just started??? you have to research them *KICK* not enough resources *KICK* U suck, Jarhead *KICK*

    Maby this could be a server setting if it isnt already?

    Yeah, I agree. And if it isn't a CVAR for the server's yet, it should be, and if it is, admins raise the percent!

    Advanced armorys have no health bar (visable)

    There is a 30 odd second delay befor you can get back in the chair (any time you get out)

    this is so true, the eject commander function was designed to prevent commander being abusive, but instead players r being abusive with it..........

    i got ejected a few times myself, and i was doing fine, already about 5 mins into the game i gave half of my time the hmg, and we were steadily kicking the alien butts, and suddenly i hear this annoying message and im out, wtf?

    they should change it, so that e.g. 80% of the ppls have to vote to eject the commander, i mean if the commander is crap, everyone will vote anyway, but if he is good, there will be not enough votes to kcik him out...........
