Ok, first I changed my updaterate to 101 with no results now to 15 and I still got the damn spike lags. Some servers are worse than others though, so mabye it's the servers i'm playing on and not my computer.

What a load of rubbish. If you have lag spikes like the pros you would know that the console command:

    rate 70000

Instead of rate 140, this will stop these lag spikes and return you to pure speed again.

What are you talking about??? When I changed my rate to 70000 I couldn't even move. I was frozen and a text said that my program had been modified and that I couldn't play until I changed back to my old settings. Rate 70000 did absolutely not work for me.

Raptor, The virus thing... forget it. That's not the problem. I have all those programs and besides....I've played NS for a couple of years and these probs are just in this new beta4 version. Would be a little weird if some virus would destroy my game now after some years of great playing.

Anyway.....looks like noone knows what to do about this...(atleast in my case) guess I have to wait for a new beta version to come out and see if that one works better.

It really sounds like something in your computer is disagreeing with you. Update everysingle thing you have.

    Direct X
    Windows Criticals
    Sound Card
    Motherboard (if necassary)
    GFX Card (essential)
    Shockwave/Flash Player
    EVERYTHING

I dont care if you have to start updating other games just make sure your system is 100% before anything else.
