Not enough servers to play on.

<div class="IPBDescription">Which is a good thing and a bad thing.</div>I spend the last 30 minutes refreshing servers on the all seeing eye and never once am i able to join fast enough to get in a game. There are 2500 people playing in 3800 slots. Which means chances of finding a stable server to play on are very slim especially for someone in europe, considering slots of a mod like day of defeat are something like 4700 with 18000 slots in total.

This does ofcourse bode well for the jumpstart this mod is now experiencing and for the future. But its frustrating on the other hand, more servers are definatly needed in the near future.

Does anyone have any tips to be faster then the oposition in joining a lag free server?  <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Just find 1-3 server you like a lot.  Go to only those servers.

    Well i have around 5 favorite servers and the player count is at maximum, i spend 5 mins refreshing those, and voila! 1 slot open, join, then im in! <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    yes what i do is go into the server i want to, turn on my television, type "retry" in the console after u get "server is full" and then just press the upwards arrow key, and enter until u get in  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    I had mass problems finding servers with good pint until I used All Seeing Eye.

    Yes, RAGS, I know what you mean.

    It's hard to get a decent dedicated not-passworded server in europe, but thats only temporarily. As soon as the game gets popular, the bigger cable companies will offer NS support (like CS).

    It's annoying to join someones server and its a dedicated homeserver on ADSL. If you think you can run a 24man server on that, think again.
