<div class="IPBDescription">natural selection start up problem...</div> well i finally got ns onto my third party game list and when i go to start it up it says " video not avaliable,cannot find 'vids:divx'decompressor "... so i hit escape and it brings up the main menu screen, i click a server and it then says "disconnected. and b/c it is still on my clip board:
1) Install Steam
2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam
3) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1
4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\)
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (See * at bottom)
Search your HDD for a folder called nsp.
if you have more than one you messed up. try again.
if you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.
If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.
*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers. Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life
Note: This is a file stored on my desktop because I have to use it so many times.
and did you search your Hard Drive for nsp as I said?
