or, SPYBOTS!!!oneone
When I booted up my computer today, I noticed that when I type in adresses into my adress bar (in IE) It will take me to a Lycos Search Page. (I.E. www.natural-selection.org gives me a lycos search page for natur al selection.) I'm thinkin' Spyware. Going to do a Spybot scan now, any other suggestions for how to get this blight off of my compeh?

EDIT: Apparently I got a lot of crud on my computer today (read: my mom signed up for one of those "get paid to surf the internet!" things.) Spybot is slowly working it's way through destroying this evil bit by bit. This is Spybot--> spam.

You need to get adaware and spybot search and destory. When having this lycos bar you can kill it by going in add remove.

Format x, where x is the boot drive.

Thats what I do about once or twice a month.

Plus, helps keep unused files away. However, if it is a family computer, I suggest you don't do it.
