<div class="IPBDescription">Do they work with ns yet?</div>I went to check the AdminMod forums to see if there was any mention of NS, and I found <a href="http://www.ozforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=36660" target="_blank">Flayra's post</a> on October 8th asking for info on how to get AdminMod support. Any news on that front?
Also, anyone see if HLGuard works well with it? Not that I've seen cheating yet, but its only a matter of time.

HLGuard works fin on my server though, v1.30.1.
Cheers!
But, Question to the devs. Whats the point of changing the classname of the player?
As for the "player" thing, maybe it's in there from future expansions or ideas? I dunno.

Any ideas about that? The console would just show "Game reseting" and then boom, it resets. I am using latest version of AM and Meta. Everything works fine on the CS server.
On my server if I try to use it it just shuts the server down if someone joins. All TFC/CS plugins are disabled and no custom plugins are installed.
When i had hlguard on i noticed even higher pings so untill the patch comes out i dont recommend it but they do work, both of the mods were the newest versions.
My system is dual amd +1900 mp with a gig of registered ram and i still had bad cpu utilization.
Server is located at 166.70.62.165:27015

This problem seems to be only with WIN32 servers. I have tried the previous version of AM and it does the same <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo--> I guess we have to wait for a patch to fix the ADMINMOD issue. <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->
I can get HLguard to work fine. But the last two releases of version of AM won't work. I'm using a linux mandrake 8.1 box.
You can go read the posts on the AM forums ( <a href="http://www.ozforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=37927" target="_blank">http://www.ozforums.com/showthr....d=37927</a> ), they may help some people.
It didn't help me however.
The server packet loss will go way up with AM running whenever anyone tries to join. YOu can't connect to the server. And, the server does not even register that someone is trying to connect. The packet loss skyrocks, but hlds doen't register a thing.
Cheers!
You need the latest Metamod which I'm pretty sure must come bundled with AM 2.50.50
I'm using an older Adminmod (2.50.26 with metamod 1.31.1) which doesn't have the new addons functionality but should in most other respects be pretty much the same.
I'll try 2.50.50 today and see if I have problems... if not, I'll post a rundown of my configs.

Maybe I should kick my box? <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Or better yet <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::asrifle::'><!--endemo-->
[Ok I just wanted to find a way to put that e-mote in a post]
Cheers!
If anyone can confirm adminmod working under win32 please let me know.

Linux works fine.
Seems to be what I'm hearing from other admins aswell.
Might I recommend ClanMOD as an alternative...
The Dr Watson trace says it's an access violation, but i don't have the time to look deeper.
The people on the AdminMod forums are saying it's a problem with metamod, claiming that because they sit on top of metamod they're mod-independent and thus they can't be causing the problem...
I edited the metamod config NOT to load adminmod as a plugin and the server is running fine w/ metamod loaded and no metamod plugins:
<!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->meta version

I might try loading the HLGuard metamod plugin to see if that causes crashing.

i think the problem is with AM but i could be wrong.
Like I said before, I've had no luck whatsoever with admin mod.
I have yet had the time to set up clanmod to see if it will work.
Anyways, no rush anyways, the several days of running my server 24-7 has gotten my bandwidth usage up quite a bit, and seeing as my brother and I have used a considerable chunk so far this month, I had to lock it down for a while. Oh well.
Cheers!

A new metamod version, will fix all your win32 and linux problems with NS because of entities, player calls and other things; many admin mod plugins will do nothing without a new version, which doesn't yet exist, so go harass the MM people, its not really and adminmod problem.
The "avplayer" issue may be fixed by MM or AM, it should be possibly through a small AM plugin that modifies previous entries; but what's the point? Wait for MM.
As for HLGuard, they'll probably need a specialized one because of the uniqeuness of NS; however most of the features provided should work, because they don't rely on player calls, they rely on data sent from the player to the server (such as aiming info; and hooks).
Good luck to all you admins, you'll have your hands full getting your NS servers into a livable environment in a lot of cases.
