Fov

Hi,

Just started this mod today, im from op4ctf with my mate Toastedweed. Looks cool, but im having a little trouble with my fov.

I play on a FOV of 130. When im in the ready room, the fov is fine, its at 130.

When i join a team, it fecks up and goes to 90 and doesnt allow change!

Please help i cant play with 90 it sucks!

Consider that to effectively turn the pistol into a sniper rifle, all you need is a key bound to "fov 30" for your scope, and you're set. the fov command would be disabled to stop this.

I agree with tycho, altering the fov is essentially cheating.

Linuz: fov stands for Field Of Vision. its the angle (in degrees) that is formed from the lines drawn from your head to the leftmost and rightmost thing you can see (the left and right edges of your screen). the standard fov is 90° meaning you can see 1/4 of a given area on your screen at a time. 180° would allow you to see 1/2 of an area. Many fps players increase their fov, allowing them to see more of a room on their screen. Likewise, you can reduce the fov to essentially zoom in on an area, turning an accurate weapon into a sniper rifle.
