Is A Clan Name Trans-system Authority Acceptable?

This is the name of our clan:
Trans-system Authority and our tag is [T.S.A.]
This is perfectly fine for the kind of matches we play at the moment but I just wanted to know. Will this be o.k in the future? Will some leagues frown on us or not let us in?
There are 2 reasons why they might:
Trans-system Authority is obviously the name made by the NS people
There is already an American clan (we are british) called Trans-system Authority and they had that name before us (though their tag is different).
So what do you think? Should we change it? Or is it perfectly fine as it is?

Can 2 clans play with the same name in the same league?
If we joined a league that had the American Trans-system Authority. Would a league let us join?
I would have thought having 2 identically named clans would be very confusing in a big league.
Or do they care more about the tag, which is slightly more original?
But they are american and we are british so we never meet.
Do you still think there is a problem with that? For leagues and stuff?
Yeah I think either hazza or me came up with that idea. We would be something like Trans-system Authority: Omega Division. So we would be a small sect/group of people within the TSA. I reacon we could even do things like make a story explaining why we are different to most of the TSA (like we could be a rogue TSA, who used to be in the TSA but broke away because of corruption, so we hate both the TSA (co_silly!) and the aliens).
But the problem is, I'm only one of the council members out of 6. Whilst I think that "Trans-system Authority" is just way to unoriginal. I'm not an original member, the guys who started TSA are kind of attached to that name. So the sect thing would be as far as we could go (and I would be content with that).
And so far, we haven't had any grief 'cause of our name. People just see [T.S.A.][Council]. That could stand for "The silly antalopes" for all they know, so I think that must be the reason why.
Anyways, thanks for your advice on the matter, I'll take this to the rest of the council and see if it changes their mind. But seeing as we can still play in leagues due to an original Tag it may not do that. Feel free to ignore this thread from now on. Or give your input/flames if you feel you want to, I'll check this thread from time to time.

Speaking of a lack of creativity, wasn't Tails the name of Sonic the Hedgehog's companion???
My point is, everyone gets ideas from everywhere, my handle is from a Tad Williams book.. I actually have his permission to use it (which is cool). I agree that TSA is not overly creative but to his actual question, as long is there is a way to differentiate the 2 clans I'd suspect no league would have an issue with it.
I beleive there are 2 AI clans in CAL right now..
They are pretty chill and probably won't mind that the clans share names

If a new member of my clan decided he did not like our name, for any reason, I think I would also be reluctant to change it. Still, keeping the same tag but renaming yourselves to "TSA: Omega" surely is not too much trouble. It will save much more hastle in the future anyway.
If you had bothered to read my sig before rushing to type, you would know that my name comes from a whole different consept than "Sonic." As such, it isn't just a cheap copy of something already invented.

If I had no concept of history and chose the name Adolf Hitler and I thought I had created it as a new name, would that make me any less culpable to comment because of my ignorance (lack of knowledge)? No, I would still be labelled a Nazi etc..
Tails is the name of a Sonic the Hedgehog character, and you use that name, so regardless if you meant to or not, people will make that connection before any other.
Side note, I never rush to post anything... I generally write 3 versions of any of my posts, the rash impulsive one so my idea for the post doesn't get away, the refinement of the idea, the final polish/spell check. (One of the reasons I ended up a PT I think)...

About the name TSA, once again I agree with most of you and want to change it, but it is interesting that most of you think we might as well leave it.
oh yeah and the council is a special tag. 6 people including me are in the council, we are the joint leaders of the clan. There is no one supreme leader just 6 of us. The original council were the 6 original members (not including me) though things have changed since then.
