Sorry, i was a very stupid person who decompiled and copyed others work.
Now for last time i have understand that it dont makes anything, only flaming what push me down.

I apologize so much for all my unuseful posts and unfinnished maps i maked and decompiled and copyed and used for my self own maps.

I need some person who helps me with mapping, i cant make it yet by my self.
I dont get any ideas to a map. Someone help me plz and someone explain me plz how to make a nice map.     Well you could TRY to make your own map. If you can't get ideas just look at other maps and see what looks nice and then don't copy, but use the same techniques that they use and you might find yourself mapping better.

    It's not just decompiling nexus, but use of open source maps without saying what they are, claiming they are you own work. You have to understand where people are coming from with this. If you made a map that took you a long time to complete, wouldn't you find it awful if someone started tampering with it, or claiming to start a project to complete one of their maps (no matter how good your intentions may have been). Just... try... to make your own work. Showing editor shots of your future work may help to convince people you are doing your own thing (decompiled maps look different when loaded into hammer because each face in game gets a brush when decompiled).

    Why do you bother posting these things? All you are doing is pointlessly confirming what we already new - you decompile maps or just use other people's work. If you want my advice it would be one of three things:

    1. Develop your English but don't bother posting for a while (say 4 months)
    2. Learn to make your own maps and improve your technique, in conjunction with point one
    3. Come back under another name, in conjunction with points one and two.

    If lack of ideas is a problem for you, I find the best thing is to come up with a unifying concept for the map. Figure out why that place exists/ what its used for. Once you've done that, you can figure out what types of locations they would need. Just make a big list of those. Once you've done that, take your list and pick the ones you think would be most compelling in a map and design a layout with them. From here I'd say there are two options. You can start making one of those rooms that you have a good visual image of, and then when completed take elements of that style to influence the rest of your map. You can also start by defining the style that you are going for through a few sample rooms or halways and then designing your rooms to fit within that style. All of this is made a lot easier by knowing what each place in your map is there for in the game universe.

    They got loads of guides in Swedish, and a friendly forum too if you got mapping-questions. I've learned a great deal from those guys.

    Keep up the mapping, and work on the english, and then mabye you could really make a name for yourself.

    I think you put too high goals for yourself.
    Mapping takes time, and it takes a awefull long time to get good at it (but sometimes ppl like Drunken Monkey shows up <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->~ )
    Just read tutorlials and map some sort of maps without realisng them untill your work satisfy you. Pluss if you are new to mapping (about 1 year experiense) map something else then NS. NS mapping is hard and it takes time.

    Decompiling maps is a evidense that you are not very creative. Play some games, look at art, play other maps, draw a layout to get inspiration before you start mapping.

    I don't get it why some of you people start flameing him again. I mean give me a freaking break. He made a mistake, yes he did. But at least he is man enough to appologize for it. Everyone is makeing mistakes so get over it and accept his appology. Don't become flamers like all those cs kiddes.

    nexus, as we've said before... don't do it again..

    you can use other maps as "insperation".. but please, delete the decompiler, and re-make them by hand.
