<div class="IPBDescription">Yes as karhaa!</div>Ok i just played my most favoritististist game of NS. It was on the map eclipse and i played aliens from start to finish. and yes we won, i guess ill just try to give some tips to all of you guys having trouble playing good as alien.

its very very very important that in the very beginning you start work on hives, what we did was make a resource node, then some offence chambers, and while the stuff was building we had a couple skulks protect us. then we let the skulks go and just started waiting around (for resources to gather), then we made the hive, some upgrade chambers and then went on to attack, im not sure what the other guys strategy was for building their hive, but then when we had our 3 hives and defense set up. our next problem was turrets, and lots of them. i evolved to onos ran in through the door and got slaughtered, then i had an idea. we did about 50 suicide runs as skulk, while our gorgs made defence chambers in front of the door to their base. eventualy there was enough room to run around, so we kept doing onos runs, ( i had redemption but im not sure about my teammates ), eventualy we won and it was so cool, they even had 3 more people for most of the match.

well to sum it up, get hives asap when the round starts, and make sure they are defended, then after that work as a team to attack. well i just started playing and this is my strategy so far, anyone else wanan post theirs?

    Wow nice job. I've played about 12 games already from start to finnish and I've yet to see an alien win. One time they got close but the marines just turtled in. They rushed with like 7 onos but they all got wiped out by our turrents and hmgs. Eventulluay they all gave up and it went from 8v5 to 2v8.

    I just finished 2 great games in a row. First my team (alien) got off to a good start dispite having many first-timers who didn't read manual  <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> , so there was a lot of explaination over voice going on. We did have 3 hives for awhile, but our inexperience caught up with us and the marines whittled down our defence and finished us off slowly. Now I tend to get a little ticked when people start going on about how the aliens are so weak and the marines are so tough. I had to put up with much of this as our 3 hives fell on our way to defeat, it was all I could do to try and convince my team that we <i>had</i> good position for much of the game, and we just didn't coordinate together enough. So next game starts up, same teams and I say "i'm going builder, everyone else feel free to rush straight to the marines" and they did. I was a thing of beauty to see 5-7 white circles dancing on the wall, all headed to the enemy base, to hear voice conversations about attacking the command center. This kind of surprised me so I checked, and yes, they were all in the marine base, kicking butt apparently and they had just defeated the command center. All we had to do was hunt down one last straggler which took more time than it did for my team to destroy his base and teammates.
    And thats my first alien win, max 10 mins, probably half that. I'm officially hooked on aliens.
