Dont start a new topic, post in your orriginal one.
That's not your hard disk, it is the steam installation directory.
Uninstall ns. Not delete it. You should be able to remove it from control pannel
**Never delete programs to uninstall them***
Use add/remove programs in control pannel
If not, remove nsp folder from steam apps.
However, doing this will likely keep the installation path in the registry, and I dont really want to talk you through messing with that. No offence. Still, if you're willing to give it a go, I will.
Except now with SPECIFIC locations on where they need to be downloaded or located..
It pisses me off that I can't get this game to work.
And exactly where is my nsp folder supposed to be located. I think that it is my 3.0 Beta 1 because I cant join 3.0 Beta 1 servers.
Download ns3 beta1
Install ns3 beta1
(Will install automatically, or at least, prompt you with a working default directory,)
Download beta4
Install beta4
!!MUST NOW TELL IT TO INSTALL IN HALF LIFE FOLDER, NOT NSP!!
Install beta4a, as above.
I reinstalled steam but now instead of program files
i go to valve, will this have the same outcome?

Post in your native language. I for one speak German all most fluently. Would that help?
Sorry if your first language IS English; it's just I dont understand what you are trying to say. :S
So after playing training, i install 3.0 b1, i check hard drive for nsp folder, isn't there so i look for it.
Now while looking, i see a new folder, valve, so i click on it, and it has program file, Steam, and others such as steamapps
can i install NS here(just move the nsp folder into valve and so on)?
NS 3.0 Beta 1 installs to default directory of steam install (c:\program_files\steam\steamapps\<username>\halflife\nsp)
If you installed steam to a folder other than default, you need to move the nsp folder from (c:\program_files\steam\steamapps\<username>\halflife) into the half-life folder under your new installation...
then you can install beta 4 and beta 4a patches over that...
If you are confused about installation directories of the patches... simply create a folder to your desktop... Install patch to that folder... move the nsp folder in the directory you created, into the half-life directory under your steam install, so that it will overwrite the previous one... and do that for the second patch again...
Hope this helps...
