Server observations

Server side comments
I started up a 20 person server earlier today. Was suprised that it filled within 10 minutes and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.

First off, my specs:
Server:
IBM X330
Dual P3 1.26Ghz
1.5Ghz RAM
Win2k Server
(nothing else matters)

Circuit:
3 - 1.1Mb SDSL lines

I run 2 Counter-Strike servers on the same box as the Natural Selection server (1 server per SDSL line). My typical pings on the CS servers is around 42ms. On the Natural Selection server, Im getting around 130-200ms. Still quite playable actually.
My concern lies with the CPU utilization. I get between 1.5% - 3.5% CPU utilization per Counter-Strike server (and thats with quite a few plugins). NS is using right around 45% CPU.

Also, as anyone that runs a CS/HL server on a Win2k box knows, the server crashes randomly. Typically it will stay up 8-12 hours the first time, then start crashing at random times after the first crash.
With Natural selection, I've seen it crash twice in the last hour (using serverdoc to restart).

I am extremely impressed with the bandwidth utilization. Its quite a bit below my CS servers: http://www.h2ocs.com/mrtg/

I know there is a server side patch coming out to address some issues, I just want to throw out some observations.

I've been running a 6 player server from last night when the client got released. And I havent had any problems.
Reason? I put mp_timelimit to 0 so it whont change the map. Its when the map change comes that the server ##### up. So it One map only Server.

Now I'm running 2x8 player server, seeing how this goes this night.
    Server is AMD XP1800+, 512MB DDR, Win2K Pro SP3.

They filled up whitin seconds as soon as I started'em

Looking forward to the server mod

At the moment, I wuldnt run this long term.

    Althlon 1800XP 512 DDR ram
Its only serving NS, nothing else on it.
    CPU 45-70%
pings between 100 -300 ms ( depending on map, larger maps increase cpu which increase pings )
