Savage?
<div class="IPBDescription">Um ...ok</div> I recently acquired savage and upgraded immediately and went to 2.0c. Am I the only one who heard great things about Savage but was just a tad bit disappointed when they finally got to play? The game is alright I suppose and It'll provide some downtime but it still can't even touch ns and I expected a lot more. It like warcraft 3 with a lot less options and 3rd person view.

It's another fps/rts hybirds that contains rpg elements. It is not a bad game, but it just cant compare to the gameplay found it ns.
Mostly because the similarity ends at FPS/RTS hybrid.
www.s2games.com for the person that asked where it is.
Ithink one of the probs is it hasa real steep learning curve, and unless you are willing to suffer through it, it may not"take".
Hence the reason the community is trying real hard to help noobs through noob nights and lots of info on forums to help.
Oh and I tried the Savage demo. Wasn't that much impressed tbh, especially with the fact I couldnt use items on my wonderful french keyboard (and no way to edit it up)
I can certainly see how it would add to the game and enhance the teamplay aspect for sure.
One of the challenges of Savage of course is that people that join and try a few times do not understand the teamplay aspect and are not very successful as a result. I does have an extremely steep learning curve, but the addiction quotient for those that stick with it for a bit is off the charts. Allot of the Alpha guys are still there and players that leave tend to come back after they get quickly bored of the other standard games.
give it another try and try to learn what you can do to help the team, that enhances the addiction and enjoyment enormously. Give it a week or two on the demo and then you will see what I mean.
Also, as far as this "OLL UR A BUNCH OF NUB THAT DONT UNDRSTAND THE GAEM" stuff goes, you're preaching to the choir. Everyone that plays NS already understands the difficulties of teaching FPS/RTS game elements to new players. Stop treating us like we're inferior fools and recognize that some people don't like your game for other, simpler reasons.
And yes there are teamspeak servers.
And it still rocks.....you would not believe how dedicated the community is as well. Very refreshing. Post a question, get an answer almost immediately and some very good answers. Lots of helpful people there.
Awesome Mods coming out too.
Edit: Sorry just had to put this (found it in the threadomancy thread)
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Necormancer has a supernatural ability to bring long-dead forum discussion threads back to life. After having been flogged to death the thread may have been deceased for many years, and bringing it back may have scant relevance to the current topic, yet Necromancer will unexpectedly exhume the thread’s rotting corpse, strike horror as its grotesque form lurches into the forum discussion. The monster, instantly recognized by all who knew it in life, seems at first to breathe and have a pulse, but, alas, it is beyond Necromancer’s skill to fully restore the thread’s original vitality. The hideous apparition may frighten away some of the weaker Warriors or Warriors badly wounded in former battles, but the thread is only a shadow of its former self and very quickly expires.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
