i did not use one , it seems to be where you get it from and if they use the waiting system like on gamespy . thats where my problem was

I also used FileShack. It had a 13 minute wait but at least it was a decent speed throughout the download. It installed fine except for that desktop icon being fruity and listing Half-Life maps instead of NS_ maps
FWIW, the FileShack DL came down the pipe very fast and worked perfect the first time
If you are getting a bad download, please post here what mirror sites you used so that we can contact them and tell them that their copy of the NS install is corrupt.
There is nothing wrong with the install exe, there just might be some sites that have mirrored a corrupt copy. We have NO control over these sites - we can only ask them to get a working copy, so please stop the yelling.

What site do you recommend? I too am on my 4th download right now. The first 2 times it stopped at 56mb. The last was 90.7 but when I clicked on the exe it said wrong size. I do not remember what mirrors I used (I just kept checking them until I found one with a good rate.) The current mirror is http://www.fluxynet.net/download.php?actio...on=file&id=1009. I will post whether or not it works once it is completed.
some download schedulers can corrupt your download, if your having problems try not using it if you already are. (of course hard to do with 56k). usually u can hold alt or shift while clicking the download link to bypass your download scheduler. i recommend gozilla it speeds up my downloads to 7kbps with 56K . but uh dont download any drivers with it.

maybe it's because you guys use a download accelerator which splits the file in multiple pieces. this gives an corrupt file error sometimes.
thats where my problem was
