Imagine two opposite skulks xenociding each other at the same time. Devouring duels of two onoses. Fades just blinking around wildly unable to get hit or identified as friend or foe. Webbing against thoose fades, and counter webbing. There is, I playtested it with MrBill on LM a while ago. Was full of bugs :/ It was rather amusing when a Onos devoured a Fade with regen, he sat there for like 10 minutes being devoured ^^.
Well there would have to be a few fixes. A few immedient problems I see that need changes.
-Acid rocket destroys web (onos now need fade support). -Devour is replaced by a buffed up version of the lerks needles (use the old stun anim) -Team 2 needs different looking models (an extreme rehue would make they stand out way to much) -Either damage needs to be upped, or hp/def downed -Poison spores no longer works on gorges -Gorges spit buffed (to where he can decently kill a skulk 40%+ of the time) Why? Because skulks are much faster then marines. -Fades acid rocket needs to be moved back to 2 hives, and matabo needs to be moved to 3. In MvM combat matabo does alot more, since we have taken focus firing out of the picture -Umbra needs to be fixed to stop all ranged attacks 750(the buffed gorge spit, onos needles, 2nd hive acid rocket) and needs to neutralize lerk gassess. -Sensory chambers need to reveal cloaked aliens now also -Bring the limit of OC chambers per area to 3, make poison spores damage them also. -Make stomp cost less adrenline or make his bite range bigger. -Change skulk and lerk models to on top of their heads. It is fine inside for marines, but aliens are much MUCH faster then marines and need the extra accurecy. -5 hive locations per map. At six the game would be delayed far to long, at 3 no one would ever get 3 hives. 4 hives and it would be far to hard to ever get a comeback. Make the maximum hives allowed 3 hives.
The good news is anyway you look at its going to be balanced. I just think these changes would help add more strategy. Also I noticably buffed the ranged attacks for the aliens. A final note, perhaps lerk should be the unit that takes webs down? Fade would seem to powerfull, and webbing would be a good counter to his blink.

The problem was that Team 2, the original alien team is able to use all abilities, however, Team 4, a newly created alien team, can only use hive one abilities.
In addition, Team 4's hive does not heal its own team, but rather only Team 2.
MrBill is currently clueless as to how to fix it, and predicts that its not going to work.
It was amusing to see an onos devour an onos, though, and the aereal lerk battles were neat.
We differentiated between teams by using teh alien flashlight, fyi.
Regen would have to be disabled while being devoured, if it was left in. OC's would be a pain for skulks to take out, since each one has to be killed individually. Just curious, how do you prevent an initial skulk rush against your starting hive? Is it just pure luck, or is it pretty much agreed that neither team will skulk-rush the other hive because it would be boring?
the map we tested on was a simple two-room map connected by one door. The rooms were higher than the great viaduct and made for great lerkage. During testing, we weren't permitted to hit the hive, but the hives were so high up, you couldn't spawncamp and hit the hive at hte same time if you wanyted to.
I want to see gorges vs gorges with healspray fight, I want to see skulk vs skul with leaping attack or parasite attack. It's sound fun to play alien vs alien.

Actally i heard somewhere that there is one, although not a very good one i dont think devour works but it could be quiet easy if you could limit the possible upgrades perhaps only allowing skulks or something

That'd be the whole "ouroboros" thing. Ouroboros is a snake/dragon which eats itself starting with its tail. Would be kinda funny though... think about when it got to the head. How's it going to eat its own mouth...
