JP is MEANT to be the counter to stomp. You want to stop JPs, the counter is supposed to be the other life forms.

A lone HA/HMG can take on 4+ skulks in one go by itself. An onos vs 4 light marines however and the onos has to run. A HA/HMG is cheaper than an onos too.

Give me stomp, regen, and adrenaline, and I can probably take out 4 lmg marines...

Give me adren, focus, regen and charge and I can with certainty kill an infinite amount of LA marines.

Unless they block me with a CC. >.<

personally I would prefer JPers to take fall damage again and give fades paralise instead of meta. Meta is very usefull at the moment, but its just odd, its some ability you just spam all the time when you aren't trying to do anything else...

Give Paralise to fade, and shoot those JPers out of the sky <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Or the fade could just blink up to them and smack them down, but I suppose that's common sense <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Agreed, Onos is fine as is, charge should be a game ender which it isn't at the moment.

NOOO this is exactly what happens on most server. Unstoppable non-stop blinking fades are killing everything... thats ****.

The idea with the paralise instead of normal shoot ist GREAT. !!!! really !
Shot the jp, be sure its hard to hit a good flying jp, make a short blink to him falling in ur arms.... !

It doesn't take much to hit a JP with hitscan weapons. It's far more challenging to blink up and hit them.

Blinking and swiping JPs mid air as thei circile the hive is very hard, Jps have much more air control than fades do for things like circiling hives. Fades often just bounce off hive only to swipe at the blue trails.

If fades had Paralise would be more fun to play, meta just is...well good but boring.

It wouldn't be very fun for the rine on the recieveing end.

I think onos is pretty good now, at 2 hives at least. However, if there is a 2 hive lockdown, onos really isn't a very good option even in middle-game. Without stomp, I wouldn't even dream of attacking any bigger group than "2." <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    @ rknZ

Ditto; and devour made easier to use. It's pain in the **** to try devouring LMG marines that jump around like insane rabbits. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> Since when eating a lighter meal is harder than heavier one? (Devouring a heavy should require 2 bites or stun, IMO and b-t-w. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

Onos does NOT need to be beefed up ANY more than it is. Sure, it costs 75 res, but to make those marines stand a chance against an Onos total would cost upgrades, heavy armor, heavy weapons... 1 marine will die if matched with an Onos. 2 Marines maybe... 3 smart marines and that sucker is dead.

Personally when I went up against a brilliant Onos my entire squad of 4 heavies was dead. Corridors with Onos's are bad, and they should avoid them like the plague. Besides, in matches where there are 3 Onos's at once storming the base means that no marine stands ANY chance of survival... 100% mortality...

Yeah it would, you can still shoot while paralised remember.

Used to be fun being paralised and emptying all your ammo into the charging onos in 1.04 trying to kill it before you got squished!!

Beef onos, make it cost 100 res in classic, 3 levels (+1 for gorge and +2 for fade, so 6 levels total) in combat. Problem solved.

Obs: If an onos got charge with this, it wouldn't have any other upgrades, so hell, beef charge too. To the point it makes marines cry. It should be an end gamer. Right now it isn't anything but a handy tool for running away. I'd suggest replacing it with ram or something powerful like that.

I generally think that the new onos is still strong. With it's up hp and armor with stomp...it's a mean killing machine. I hardly find that there's a problem with the hmg, since if your health drop to less then 400, you simply run far as you can, find a good place to hide, then ambush them since light rines are as good as dead against onos. Even if the hit box is big, the onos now only cost 75 and with beefed up hp, so what's wrong. Onos are tank if use by a normal person, but in the hand of an expert, it is a uber killing machine. Also nowadays, tanks are use as support for infantry and others and onos fit well in this catagorie, using stomp to back up fade and skulks.
