A .dll Problem...

So when I try joining a server it says:

"Diconnected

Your .dll [cl_dlls/client.dll] differs from the server's"


Would anyone help me? (It has happened ever since I got any Beta NS for steam)

    Click on downloads, download 3.0 beta 1 and then download 3.0 beta 4 A, install them in the same order.

    Done.

    If you still have 2.0 or anything installed I'd remove that first. If you have 3.0 beta 1 or a later beta already installed, just download beta 4 A and install it.

    What is the specific folder I am supposed to install it to? Half-life/nsp/hal-life/nasp etc.?

    yea, I'm gettin this same error. It says it's copying the files to the correct location (half-life/nsp/<files be here>)

    but, it still gives me that error...

    Yes exactly. When I install everything geos to the correct places and whatnot, but it still gives me this client.dll bs... Can someone with high authority check this out and maybe help? Its very bothersome and has kept me from enjoying my NS experience for many months now...

    i found out what i did... the server you are trying to join depending on the pacth u have is the other beta patch... if your running beta4 yoru trying to join a 4a server.. or else yoru trying to join a beta4 server.. check the full games listing in Steam to see what type of server it is... it most likely user error like mine :-X

    I'm having this very same problem, and I'm absolutely certain that I've installed the 4a patch in addition to 3.0 and 3.0 beta 4. At times, I also come up with a message saying that my map does not match the current one on the server. Does anybody know how to correct these problems?

    Instructions for Setting Up NSP:

    1) Install Steam
    2) Play HL through Steam atleast once
    3) Install NSv3B1
    4) Install NSv3B4
    5) Install NSv3B4a

    Now:
    Search your HDD for nsp

    if you find more then one folder, you messed up.

    I ran the search and corrected that particular problem, and that took care of the .dll bug. However, I still am receiving the map error for most maps.
