<div class="IPBDescription">ok help now</div> ok im new to ns so i installed steam then did the stuff on install page yes ok.it didnt work it wouldnt even show up looked in the forums and got it to show up under 3rd party games on list. (BTW im trying to run v3 beta 4a) So i try to join a server and ive got it all in the folders it says on the forums i should so i got to play it and what do i get.............. your .dll [dddl........... differs from this server . ive now tried very server there and i havent connected once plz help beofre my comp ends up out the window. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->

that problem usually occurs due to having ns in the wrong folder as its been stated.
Make sure you have half life updated make sure steam is updated and make sure ns is updated i think that you can see if a game is fully installed by right clicking on it in the "my games" menu and clicking properties, however for 3rd party games unsure if it works.

But here is what you do, when you install, just do it normally, like always no different, (also you don't nessisarily have to re-install the hole game just put the patches on ) then go into your nsp folder and look for another nsp folder inside the first one, then take all of the stuff out of that second nsp folder and put it in the original folder, I had the same problem as you ( dll not the same as the server blah blah what ever ) but when I look at the install I noticed it was making another nsp folder inside the nsp folder, kinda silly.
