notice in the background of the pics with the stressed scripter guys there is a schedule written in red marker. the dates are 5/13, 6/XX, etc. they are still building things (like the 'citadel'). it seems that hl2 is still a ways off if they are still in the planning stages.

I was about to note exactly that.

Doesn't surprise me at all, heh.

Nah, one of the guys who visited confirmed that those are animation keyframes, not dates. Although you should see the HL2.net forums, there's a ridiculous debate going on about it.

Tequila (ps, happy birthday... whenever it was (yesterday? Day before? My memory is bad)), if you live so close then why aren't you working there? I'd sell my soul, i'd volunteer to scrub the floors and make tea, I'd... no, maybe I wouldn't do that... well not without payment anyway and only for the top people there. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

And I don't work there because I'm 14. Rest assured, when I'm an up and coming 3d modeller, I'm applying to VALVe. Assuming I don't become a lawyer or a journalist.

Looks like Newell is losing a bit of weight, good for him. Nice to see what their offices look like. Mighty confortable if you ask me.

can anyone get the xvid codec to work well... i get green blur on most of the video. The actual monitor doesn't look too bad but it could be better.

Theres a video somewhere on the net of the Half-life 2 demo at the Microsoft WinHEC conference, and I can confirm that Gabe Newell says <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->...and half-life 2, which will be finished in the summer...<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
