    Timelimit:

Im not sure if I like this... Played a server last night that had a 22 minute timer. The games never lasted that long, but I do see being a marine and finally making a great push and having the hive under control, shooting, almost winning....GAME OVER. Aww, time limit <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Focus Changes:

Good and Bad. Level 10 skulks have one less ability now. I don't think that was neccessary for them later on, focus is one of the few things that keeps them viable at high-level combat in long games.

Focus was 1 point for killing marines, armor 1 was one point for surviving focus. I don't see why it really needed to be changed. I can kill 2 level 2 skulks with focus in a single clip of ammo pretty easily(without damage).

The good part about it is marines don't die so quickly in the first 2 minutes of the games now, which is good for pubs overall. But I do find myself with shotgun before any skulks get focus that I notice and we all know skulks die to shotguns pretty quick.

    Marine Respawn:

    Good stuff!

    Grenade Launcher Cost:

Its fine how it is! All the people who supposedly "spam" nades aren't really doing their team any good. Remember, marines have to kill the hive to win. If a marine is in his spawn spamming grenades he isn't doing his team any good. If more than half the team has grenade launchers one fade can fly in and out killing them at will. The reload time is horrendous, you only have 4 shots...

Having a grenade launcher can possibly grant you alot of kills, but its main use is taking out the hive with 2x damage to structures. 4 shots is not enough to defend yourself against any of the advanced creatures. Everyone just needs to learn to avoid grenades and how to kill grenade launching people. There is no need to make it cost 2 points.

    Umbra Change:

Oof, this one hurt lerks themselves. I admit, umbraing an onos on the CC was a bit powerful...but lerks trying to kill an HMG or any advanced weapon guy is really painful now and quite difficult. Focus costs 2 points, endurance for flight again, Umbra only absorbing 50percent of bullets makes it so you can no longer get as many abilities as you used to be able too. I personally enjoy getting Primal Scream, that means if I get focus Im incredibly limited to other things. I can deal with biting normally. I don't know if the umbra needed to be changed <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Because everyone seems to love spamming those nades, and it really is annoying when you have 10 out of 15 marines on a team with a GL, spamming. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hmm, 15 Marines in a CO game? Most ive seen is 7, as the servers I play on are limit of 14 players, I doubt you would have a 30 player server for combat, if you are thats just stupid, as its not meant for that many players.

I think you are exagerated a bit, even in 7 player games, I never see more than 2 GL's in a game, sometimes 1 is most you will see, I prefer my Shooty myself. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
He isn't exaggerating about how many people use GLs. I play with Doglicker on his server a lot and it so happens that a whole handful of people, about 6-10 people always have a GL.

The player amount does make a difference in what weapons are used during combat. In a 30 player server playing combat, marines choose grenade launcher because they know there are plenty of skulks around that they can easily kill.

And I highly resent your remark on having a server that plays combat with 30 people. It's more fun than you think. Just because the servers you play on SEEM more fun, it really isn't. The more players on a server the more difficult it is. But on a small server with a small alien team is too easy for the aliens to win. Learn to play on both types of servers before you even comment on how one is better than the other.

    Ignorant fools.
