    Aliens are weaker.

    Why make one side more fun when you can make the other side less fun?

    EDIT: But the timer gives them a rediculous advantage.

    Crono, aliens are only weaker because they were Godlike in the original b4... b4a is the best.

    And I think its a step in the right direction. The Timelimit in CO is a godsend.     Trust me, I've been trying to convince him of this since November 2003 when I finally made my first post about it. During the tournament I ran with CAL we used that system and it worked a LOT better then the old combat rules. The problems with that tournament though were how fast you could get xeno and how fast you could get focus. Both of those now take 1 more level to get so I think the removal of the CC would basically bring combat to a nice place.

    Myself and most of the people I've been playing with today think that the introduction of the timer was bad.

    I really, REALLY dislike the timer, and so do many of the other people I have played with.

    (I don't want to flame or insite a riot, it's just that I saw no negative posts about the timer, and there is a LOT of bad feelings towards it I thought wasn't being expressed)

    I used to really hate combat, but I've found that with the timer I don't mind it so much now. It forces marines to push out of the spawn area and work for a win, because if they don't, they lose by default. I've definitely noticed a better quality of combat game on the servers I've played it on. Where before, marines just seemed to hole up with maybe 2 or 3 players making any attempt to go fo the hive, there now seems to be alot more inertia on the marines team to do something other than sit at the CC and hump the armory. Now I can actually play it with out feeling like cutting out my eyes with a spoon. It will still never be as good as classic, but it's going in the right direction.

    i think the timer is a pile of crap

    a bunch of great fights got screwed cuz of the godamned timer

    we were about to kill the aliens when the timer was set on 12 mins but then the **** timer ran out of time then it just killed the game

    timer made combat maps suck

    Timer is poo in my opinion. It should be set to 30 minutes or something... it should be in place to stop games from lasting too long, rather than forcing them to be quick...

    Well NS and CO get worse and worse with every patch. Sometimes its a little worse. And sumtimes its a LOT worse. From now on the by name for a LOT worse is that its gotten a Beta 4a worse! This is the worst patch ever. Combat is now pointless, it encourages aliens to camp, marines to just rush, makes combat more like Counter strike, now all we need is aliens with bombs. Oh wait, we do, gorge, in CO = useless pretty much, o but wait, we have skulks to! they explode! but 2 points for exploding myself around the room? no thanks. Focus, 2 points. WHY!!?!?!?!? if the marine pretty boys insist on NOT getting lvl 1 armour straight away they deserve to die! Why not Increase the spawn back to waves, so that one skulk with focus cant kill EVERYONE, and then proceed to reduce focus back to one point.... Remove timers, set upgrade scores back to one. At the moment a charge onos can have ONE!!!!! upgrade, so basically you will NEVER be seeing a charge onos. Why not make hmg's cost 2 points, seeing as theyre so overpowered. And while ure at it, make lvl 3 weapons 2 upgrades as well, heck make lvl 2 cost 2 upgrades! why not nerf everyone and have no upgrades at all. why not give everyone flowery textures to go with ure stupid pink checks textures? Why not fix NS? Why make it worse with every patch? Why when you add sumthing to the game that unbalances it, do you then proceed to not simply remove this feature, but add new ones, which further unbalance the game? This is a sickening state of affairs, and just to clarify, "you" is not aimed at <span style='color:white'>Lemme get this straight... you expect Flay to consider your opinion after <i>this</i>?</span>, merely to the NS fanboys/makers who do all these stupid changes. Try talking to the players from Public servers, try talking to the NORMAL people, the people until now uve ignored. I like to see the posts here where you ask for opinions, and after like 30 posts ( from fanboys woo! ) you close them, eliminating and alienating the entire ns community from voicing ther opinions. Why not just start at 1.04 and start trying to fix the game, rather than breaking it. I remember when onos was like OMG ITS ONOS GAME OVER MAN GAME OVER RUN AWAY!!! now its like, heh another onos, chase it chase it and the onos is like OMG OMG LMGS AND AWP PISTOLS RUNNNN!!!!!!!!!!one!!111!!!!!OnE!!1 Anyway that was just a rant, im expecting, flames and Fanboys to defend you.<span style='color:white'>Be nice.</span>
