    This is true it didnt used to be free, but it has been for about a year. There is rather marginal difference(not noticable to all but the most hardcore of players), though it is dying people pay to keep it alive and other reasons which dont really matter if youre new (even 2-months new).

    RE: testament.
    The only restrictions are:

    your weapons do 10% less dmg (strategically speaking a moot point, this only matters if you use artillery),

    you level up slower,

    and you do not gain honour (only relevent for hardcore poccers) the end.

    The last time it was free it was a beta, and that was 3 years ago,

    Yeah...

    TBH, this seems like it'd be the kind of thing I would've loved...back when Starcraft was the best RTS around. This seems like a MMO-starcraft with only 5 units at a time. Kinda weak, TBH.

    Sounds a lot like Infantry when Harmless Games still owned it before they got bought out by Sony and the game got screwed over....
