Report From The School Of Infanty
Well, here i am, in the school of infantry Lan center, getting ready to play a game of ns.
If you guys dont remember, i graduated USMC boot camp Feb. 27.
For the first 2 weeks I was in guard, basicly handed a loaded gun an told to shoot anybody who was a threat. then I got picked up to go to school March 23.
Its preaty fun here, a lot of guys are here from my platoon. Lots of guns to play with and lots of explosions to make. And libo is great, get to go out friday night and come back on sunday.
Got to shoot the SAW, at-4, m-203, throw live grenades, all in the first week.
I also got picked to go to Marine Recon indoc, I didnt make it but i came close. I will make it next time though.
I am getting out of here in may, there is talk of us going to iraq as early as july.

A 25 meter, underwater swim. I made it all the way, but I lifted my arm up 2 meters to early, so i failed it.
A 15 foot dive to the bottom to get a rifle and hold it above your head for 3 seconds. I got the rifle but becuase i have no idea how to "frog kick" (not use your hands) i could not hold it about my head for longer then 2.
A jump into the pool from 15 feet. Easy
A 30 minute tread water, tiring but I made it.
A 500 meter swim, time: 17:05
A Marine corps PFT right after. Which a perfect score is 18:00 3 mile run, 100 crunches in 2 minutes, and 20 pull ups. i got 21:30, 97, and 9. preaty good concerding i just did all that other stuff.
But I think that's Navy.

That's the U.S. Navy Seals man! If there is one part of the military that I don't want after me, they would be 2nd, the first being a **** off marine...
