Hmm... My Map In Progress

Once I finally re-set my computer, I'll attempt doing it on the PC... till then, oh well <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

So far I'm only having a problem with getting STEAM to run (I needed to find drivers for my Cable to USB modem... I found em, now I need to activate STEAM lol)

I need to find a way to test my maps without having an active internet connection... is there a way?


Also, is it wrong having a glass cross in a bunker at marine start?

    If you can get Steam installed and get it to download the Halflife cache, I think you should be able to run NS without being online - just open the console and type 'map ns_mymap' and run around.

    when logged into steam and offline, if you attempt to run n-s you get this message "must be online to play this game" or something to the sort. i know from experience.

    Or I could just use the school computer lab (not like they can really stop me.. hehe) tho they dun like me removing one of their computers from the network temporarily... ^-^;

    Anyway, so far the map is


    Freezer Control / Freezer Hive
    Climate Control (Marine Start)
    Quad Res Room (giant, icy slope that is one way access from the TOP, no build period)

    You could use the 2.0 NS download and run HL in WON. At least then you won't have to be online to play your own map.
    You'll have to copy the new .wad files from steam if you intend to use them.
