Just wondering as a marine, how often if any, do you reach lvl 10?
I've been playing CO (I'm not sure why) and I've yet to reach lvl 10.
The other thing I've noticed is that it's pointless to get resupply now. Anyone else find this? Since there's a 98% chance of getting spawn camped now, it never kicks in. I'd rather spend the lvl on armour or damage.

as with resupply if you are able to stay alive long enough then you can get ammo as you run out making the armory in co a thing of no worry. making spawncamming a thing I started to do as the maines abibly to go on almost forever, well atleast untill the hive knifers finnish.
Damage 1, Shotty, Resupply, Armor 1, Armor 2, HA (2), HMG, and either a welder or scanner sweep. Always go for the shotty first, as it lets you combat Focus if you actually can aim well enough to hit the broad side of an Xbox.

Aliens usually had a pretty decent chance of winning core in a 10 to 14 person game, provided they could get their fades up, and ended with at least one Onii. In any game smaller than 10 players, aliens could very easily win core (again, provided they got their fades up - this is a very fade-friendly map).

As Marines you shouldn't camp in base just for the hell of it. Even if you're quite new stick with some others and you have more chance of taking down higher lifeforms, and you can share experience if they get the kill. Get level one armour FIRST, shotgun and JP/HA soon after. Always leave one slot free for a 'team' upgrade like a welder or scanner sweep. I usually get resupply, but not until the armoury is taken down or I am quite a high level.
As aliens, in beta 3.04 you get experience just by existing, so don't think you have to continously rush! Let the marines come to you and you'll soon be level 10!
However like I say, level 10 isn't reached as often now, due to the fact that before a team can reach level 5 they're usually being slowly and frustratingly spawn camped, while their CC/Hive slowly reaches its enevitable doom <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Now, I do want to make one point. People keep saying marines need to work as a team. True.. and in theory that should work but on most servers I've played on, aliens play as a team as well. Which in turn, makes it so damn hard for marines to win a game.
It's odd for me to know why such changes were introduced in CO prior some internal testing. As Flayra said, marines are going to get a boost in the next version. Then why not just leave CO as is and introduce the changes on both sides at the same time? Odd.

Unless, of course the comm chair's taking damage--then I get a welder when I can. Also, if I go the GL route, I usually get resupply immediately after.
And I reach l10 in every game that doesn't end with skulks or basic marines spawncamping 5 minutes into the game, ie ½ of them.
Dmg lvl1 (1) Shotty,(1) armor lvl 1 (1), armor lvl 2(1), HA(2), DMG lvl 2 (1), DMG LVL 3 (1), Catalyst or resupply (1).
