Can We Go Back To Another Beta?

Every time somebody starts to **** about ns3, you'll probably hear the trademark lork-on-the-clorf line of "OMG IT'S JUST A BETA!!!", but if I recall correctly, the ns2 private betas were played alongside each other, and going back to betas 1 and 2 could do much to put betas 3 and 4 in perspective, I think. Is it possible for some servers to run the old versions?

    The only reason why there was such a gap between beta 3 and beta 4 was because Flayra was off on vacation's or other important meeting's to help improve the game. He even started his own buisness.

    Well.... "wait for the patch" is great advice and all, but that's not really what I asked.

    For some reason, I thought that the old betas were available on the downloads page, but only beta 1 is, it seems, so I guess forget the whole thing.... Beta1 was good fun though, minus the spawn times.

    I doubt it because Flayra is likely to be doing test's for a new res system and spawn system for alien's (large games 7v7+) in classic.

    No, we didn't play old private betas, all the beta servers updated the patch right away and didn't look back. I don't see why looking at the old public betas is necessary to fix the flaws in this one.

    You COULD get the beta 2 or 3 install files by copying, pasting, and changing the shortcut to one of the download mirrors.(so it says .../ns_v30_b3 instead of .../ns_v30_b4 etc)

    Psst. A lot of servers are running old betas.

    You could also just open up the mirror... Most of them show all related NS files on the same page, and you can simply pick out the relevant client download.
