<div class="IPBDescription">Too many n00bs for you?</div>Will you or will you not come back to the forums after the game is released? I will probably still watch, and post, but I just hope that the all the new ppl use the new to NS forum, I hate trying to sort thru all the whines in the general disscussion forum.
P.S. Good luck to the forum and IRC mods, your guna need it...

If you think about it, there is already an incredible community around this game, and probably the most used boards before anything has been released.
"too many noobs for you?" is definitely a concern of mine, I just hope gamers who are in it just for the brand new gaming experience will be able to respect and understand the new style of play and be a good team member, I suppose.

As for the boards, I wouldn't worry. I don't usually sign up for the boards to games I play. Some examples of this are day of defeat and MOHAA. And well, loadsa games before I knew what forums were about. And any one who does join the community will be beaten into shape in no time <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Im the übern00b when it comes to NS and this forum (<i>speaking of NS in general, arent most of us - with the PT:s as exception really n00bs?</i>). And i think that the fun starts when the mod is actually released. Then all can help each other with most problems and questions, give suggestions/ideas, post tactics and strategies, give comments and much more!

Just by looking at the new layout on the forums and how most of the foum vets act now is a good sign that the future will hold really nice discussions <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

As soon as NS comes out and i get my fix of alien vs marine action at 10 fps ill post some guides for people who have old systems like mine and hoefully try to boost their performance.

I need to run some tests first though, mainly because i havent played NS yet and i dont know how heavy it is on the computer.

Well, how do we eliminate n00bs? Educate em. How do we educate em? Vets. If all the vets go, the n00b pile will grow n grow. More knowladgable people about NS around, the better. I am gonna stick around, but probably not as often.

kinda off topic but after reading rico's post I thought I should defrag my HD, which normaly I do once ever 1-2 months, but I've forgotten apparently as windows showed this to me: Last defragmentation: 157 days ago.

Yes, I'll keep coming to the forums. I may be new to NS myself, but I've trudged through most of the major threads here and intend to pass on my knowledge to quell the n00bs.

I would consider the non-PT's here to be "newbies" as opposed to "n00bs." I use the term "n00b" to denote the belligerent induhviduals who can't be bothered to find their own answers. I consider a "newbie" one who has never played but is more than willing to find their own answers and contribute in a meaningful way.
