Landing gear.
Right, I'm in a bit of a bother. I'm modelling a ship, and it's come to the time when all previous ship models have failed me. I am really stuck for ideas on the landing gear, so I ask for the NS communities help.
The landing gear is gonna have to support probably 3-4 tonnes per strut, and the two I'm stuck with are two at the rear end of the ship (the front strut is also the loading ramp for the cargo hold).
Any images you might have links to would be greatly appreciated, since I really am stuck.

Just an update, this is what I have so far, to give an overall feel for it.
And now you most likely see my problem, those rear feet are hideous.
This would look cool on an inacessible landing pad near a marine start
It is quite poly intensive right now (1,300 or so), which will be thinned out later on. Also considering replacing the missile launchers (the large pods between the engines), and replacing them with small wing type structures, or maybe turrets or something.
And, if someone points out the lack of vertical thrusters, there are two on the bottom panel of each of the lower engines.
oh btw it looks cool

Maybe I'll make another version with an open cargo bay, eats up the polies though.
[Edit]
Little update:

New undercarriage skids in place (not yet hooked up to the rest of the ship yet), new cargo bay ramp, shortened stern, and some poly saving other bits.
Comments?

[Edit 2]
Also, can a mod change the topic title please, to something like "TSA Arbitrator", since this has gone a little off topic.

In the meantime, one thing you may want to do is check out the landing gears on the heavy bombers or transport aircraft. The B-36, for instance, was a big beast. It's landing gear had to support 205 tons. Aluminum overcast indeed!

In the model, the 4 wheels can easily be replaced by two skids (one on either side of the big piston thingie) if you want.
Not sure if it suits your idea, especially since I can't see the pictures (as mentioned) but it's a thought anyway.
Damn upgrades, lol.
Anyway, here's an attached image of what I've come up with for the undercarriage right now, I think it looks ok, much better than the old stuff, opinions?
Please ignore the bad image quality (thanks, jpeg compression!), and the large image size.
Reminds me of a whale IMO
What could I put up there though, that isn't gonna bounce the pollies up too high?
I thoght about maybe weapon systems and stuff, but they'd be underneath or on the sides imho.
Edit: pardon the quality, but MS paint and red colors do not make good jpegs. The label in the bottom right is "Torpedo launcher or something" and bottom left is "search lights?"
