i have a request of the fremen fredakians off of the movies/games/books of DUNE

    hm... having the Fremen and the Sardaukar in the same "team" would be very... strange... (who read the book or watched the movie(s) will know what I meant)

    otherwise the Sardaukar are wuite cooll... so .D

    I am i big fan of dune (i love it)
    The Sardaukar are pretty well not in the movies but if you need concepts i can draw them out.

    i think they got the sardaukar wrong.
    and the novels say the fremen were reconers and traveled light.
    eg:sniper rifle, or fredakian sound gun

    its a 6 piece novel.
    if you liked the movies or mini series youll love it.
    its somewhat complicated when you have to remember each house and guild
    if you play the games youll think there will be ordos but there is only a very small discusion about ordos or the executrise (forgive my spelling)

    i have played dune 2000, and it was ok. not really any story, just your average RTS. i havent seen any movies or shows or anything, ive only just heard bits and peices of it. something about a buncha people who are trying to harvest the spice off a planet.

    like politics, war, houses, guilds,guns, species

    If you want to know more about hte story line without the reading our renting the movies
    get the game emperor battle for dune

    basicly it revises the movie but in a different mood

    yes.. there is even more comming out.
    but it is way more point of view even thou J R Tolkein made languages

    basicly the books are about 3 things
    Atredies (the good guys who are invading arakis)
    Harkonen (the bad ones)
    Fremen (the main people who inhabit arakis)

    (sorry for my spelling)

    My cousin says hes going to make a replacing model for gordon freman in hl2 with this

    but some of them are just battles


    Sorry that i dont know the dune site but im pretty sure if you search dune official site in a web searcher youll find it

    Freman are the natives living on Dune.

    Uh I can hardly see the resemblance between Dune and NS :/

    Actually theres not really just three houses theres alot, like IX
    and Ordos is mailny just for the games it has little resemblance in the books.
    And the Sardaukar are not the emperors, they are mercs/power lovers.
    And theres the bene tleixue, and the emperor is really controled by his wife and the guild of navigation

    The books go in the order of: Dune, Dune: Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune, and Chapterhouse: Dune. All of these books were written by Frank Herbert. The books really should be read in order as they are written in chronological order.

    The new Dune series, which is still being written, is actually a couple of series in itself. As a prelude to the original Dune series, it goes: House Atreides, House Harkonnen, House Corrino. The next series is more of a precursor to the way the empire formed, and the basis of the mythos in the Dune universe and go in the order of: The Butlerian Jihad, The Machine Crusade, and coming soon, The Battle of Corrin. These new books are a collaboration between Brian Herbert, Frank Herbert's son, and Kevin J. Anderson.

    Dune has been one of the best series I've read but I have to say that I hated the first movie. Sonic Guns? Where did that come from? No mention of them anywhere in any books. That aside I think it would awesome to see some dune stuff.... ANYWHERE. Dune doesn't get enough work from the fan base. I would love to see an rts based on the new books about the machine war. The book describes multiple military units for both sides and could easily be made into a game. But hey thats just me....

    The Dune Mini Series was actually pretty good (i dunno if it was only in Canada or if it was all over) but the Children of Dune minis series wasnt as good as the book.
