and blatantly rips off FF:CC
Just finished him up. I'm pretty happy with him, in part because it's the first drawing I've inked in a long time and felt that the ink actually improved the image.

Yes, I realize his boots are huge.

    Started a quick recolor. Not a whole lot of the details are done yet.
    img removed. final is a couple posts down.

    ps: Hope recoloring is ok. If not, I'll take it down/delete it. Just practicing.

    Neck looks a tad bit too long. Could be just me though ^^;

    The perspective for his stick and bag thingy (don't know what to call it, damn Hong Kong and their 3rd grade english lessons for 7th graders....)
    looks a bit bad though. Looks like he stuck t through his neck (scary ideology isn't it?)

    Teh ponce are teh ultra baggeh!

    I like it overall though. It looks very FF:CC-ish

    EDIT : After pointing out teh ponce was too baggeh, I noticed that his shoes look a bit too.......uhhh big for him ^^;

    the shading should be harder on the jacket, plus a secondary light source wouldn't hurt. Post the lineart

    Comments like this are just extremely poor form.

    No.

    You don't insult someones work by telling them what's wrong, then ask them to post the line art so you can change it for them. Art is what the artist wants, not you. Would you ask Van Gough to post the lineart

    I don't really like the image, the proportions seem rather odd... but that's probably just me. You do a 100x better job at drawing then me anyway

    coil: eh? saying "post the lineart" usually means someone likes the lineart that you've drawn, and would like to colour it, not OMGZ U SUK I CUD DU BETTR. And seeing as it appears that sparda33 apparently already has the lineart, i assumed you didn't mind giving it out. Plus recolouring the image would make it easier for some people to point out crits that would be hard to put into words otherwise. Chill, man

    anonmus: probably not, as van gough is dead.

    hmmm... I know the proportions are on purpose, but some parts of the posture just seem unatural. His right arm seems to not flow with the rest of the drawing; the lower arm jerks slightly to the right in a unatural way. Also, it looks like the main body could be a bit shorter, and the armour(?) on his chest looks like it should be readjusted. Besides that, beautifully drawn and coloured.

    Even for FF, those legs are just too short for his own good. Also, I'd work on making the eyes less "Cutesy"- to be honest, right now the shine is really off on them. Being its a male, it may be smarter to just make the eyes a solid color, or normal eyes, to give him a roughness.

    I demand a self portrait!

    The tree on the belt buckle is a nice touch.

    I feel that the head to hand size ratio is a bit extreme though.

    Gogo coily!

    coil: some people LIKE lineart.

    I think lineart is pretty nifty meself. I dunno - sometimes people just like to have their own go at things, I suppose.

    But obviously it's Coil's decision and all that - and if he doesn't feel right giving out his lineart, people should stop harping about it. It's all up to him anyways, right?

    But back on-topic, I like the picture He looks a little dumpy (i.e. his head and neck are very strangely proportioned to the rest of the body, to the point where he looks like a bowling pin of some sort ). Otherwise, it's a very nice piece!
