80 gigs, as I am sorry to say, and even MORE sorry now, is not a lot. Was not a lot two years ago. I got mine thinking it'd take me months to fill it up... Well it took about a week... Now I'm in the market for a 250 or a 300. So much porn, so little space...

I learned to stop saying that after I said "wow, I'll never fill up this 20 gig drive!"

"I'll never fill up this 200 meg drive!"

"I'll never fill up this 40 meg drive!"

Whooooooooa, I just read your specs. Do you make 50¢ an hour, or are you just trying to torture yourself? Nothing at all you have on that list is even remotely new. It's all outdated by about three years. Do yourself a favor and get better hardware :<

Well, you know, I got bored of having to delete stuff off of my 40gb internal, so thought I'd splash out. I'm also allergic to the innards of my PC, which doesn't help.

Just to sound more oldschool than anyone else so far I can remember thinking I'd never fill a 720kb floppy disk, a 720kb floppy that already had the OS for my Atari8256 on it ;D

But yah, 80gig? Seriously man I have 240gig across two 120giggers and I have not alot of room left, next purchase will be the largest possible drive thats still cost effective, then its time for the IDE cards >_<

I think my HDD is a 160 gigger, but I forgot since I partitioned it to make room for my FreeBSD install that I never use. I should get to re-partitioning it back to full fer Windoze. Now that I think about it... Yeah, it is 160 gigs. Using 96.5 GB.

    I should re-format soon.

OK from looking over the post i can see it that some people like to download/install a bunch of stuff they don't use to often and people who manage there space by deleting old gmaes you rarely play, music you don't listen too, and images you don't look at.

Me, i just keeep the save files from my uninstalled games in a compased folder tell i feel like playing them again. so a 80gb is fine for me and if i have too i can use my old hard drive too for a wxtra 40gb so I think i'm set for the time being.

I managed to pick up some new toys during a Boxing Day sale a few months back. Got an 80gb drive for my server, and an 80gb drive and a new video card for my own computer.

Paid quite a bit up-front, but there was a stack of those mail-in rebates. I hate mail-in rebates. Still, between the two $50 rebates for the hard drives and the two $60 rebates for the one video card, I ended up with this stuff for next to nothing.

    I was pleased.

Love Hina is the single best comedy anime in exhistence.

I read the mangas, myself. Good stuff.

I find it weird how making do with a little changes your perspective on what you really need...

I still call myself a gamer, but with my dinosaur computer, I haven't played any game for the pc that's less than two years old, outside of demos which run not as well as I'd like, if at all.

But somehow, 20 gigs seems to always be just enough. Sure, I usually have to burn the stuff I d/l often, and in 8-10 gb chunks, but not exposing myself to l33t upgrade options keeps me from torturing myself.

Not anything at all against upgrading often - far from it! Just that making do with less isn't as bad as it might seem

I watched a few Love Hina episodes last night after reading this. Gotta say, second time seeing them I wasn't overly impressed. I think it was the series as a whole which made it excellent (though getting familiar with the characters, and the inside/running jokes). If I showed just one episode to a friend, they'd likely call it - and myself - stupid.
