<div class="IPBDescription">About teeth ^_^</div> Ok, your a big mean skulk... grrrrr! Rawr! WARGLE!oooooOOooOooooOOooOoOOOooo scary doggie! Your big sharp teeth line the outside edges of your screen... and with those teeth you bite marines!
So... wouldn't it be safe to assume that if your in biting range, and the marine is on your screen while your biting... that he would be taking damage right? No... because apparently skulk's molars are not ment for biting, thus bite is a straight, narrow attack. This means you must place the marine in the center of your screen, but shouldn't the teeth be narrowed to reflect your bite's "width"? Why must my useless teeth block my view as i fight if they aren't used for biting?

I've always wanted the attack radius of bite to be 180 degrees (left to front to right) centered around the skulks head... that goes for lerk bite, too.
onos gore should be more "strait line" then the skulk bite is, though...
Seriously, doing this would make skulks incrediably overpowered, the skills in ns are simplified enough as it is now, wihtout removing the need to aim.

And how would it make skulks over-powered? They still do the same amount of damage and have the same health/armor/speed. Melee weapons can only be used if they get close to you. Last i heard Clan play was in favour of marines... (if not balanced evenly, this is one of the better versions) and I'm sure some clanners can aim their bites a million times better then me.

Take a permanent marker and draw one on your screen.
Hehe.. remember firing in bursts just so you could find the skulk amid the damn muzzle flash......

If it were, there wouldn't be Skulks at all. And if there are actually Skulks out in the universe somewhere, I doubt their biology would be anything remotely similar to that of humans, so gravity probably wouldn't have the same effect it has on them as it has on us.
Bigger bite radius sounds good.

Heh. I used to get 5fps while running at 320x240. That's how bad my old PC was.

back to topic... bigger skulkbite radius would definately change the balance drastically!
it would be extremely easy to hit, and you wouldn't even have to actually turn to the target for scoring a hit.
That basically would mean you would be able to kill while passing by close to the target.

just get a program like phtoshop, and draw your own! it's that easy!
And Gecko.. skulk bite does 75 NOW.. reducing it (Even in favor of giving a wider angle) would seriously, seriously SERIOUSLY nerf alien earlygame, since any marine would take 3+ bites (up to six for L3 LA). And besides, it's not a "melee" weapon. It's actually a gun with a very short projectile range with an already wide range of fire (Marine doesn't have to be directly in the crosshairs), and a good knockback.

The idea of the damage being less the further they are from dead-center is a good idea too ^^
Main thing would be keeping it level so they can't bite you with the top of their head =s
