It's shoots better then it looks
This is a new candidate for the the armed forces new weapon infantry weapon. Now for a while now i've had my doubt about this weapon...like any wise person...but after seeing it in action...I LIKE! Things to point out is that the rifle instead of being in 5.56 opting for 6.8 rem which is alot more powerful but won't really allow for single arm firing, but im sure the barrels will be interchangable. I really like the idea of having the grenade launcher and how well it was designed.
The sighting system is a BIGG boost to regular ground troops who want night vision but not the heavy goggle system.

Horray for me...

    Neat. Being that Espionage is set in TEH FUTAR maybe we should use this gun instead of the M16A2 where it was being used?

    You don't have to use the M16A2, you could use the M4A1 Carbine. Or, if you're looking for a multi-purpose weapon, might I suggest the OICW?

    I hate to sound like a gun nublet, but what is the difference between an M4 and an M16?

    Thats nothing...i hear they are going to make one in 6.8 spc.

    For you gun nubs out there. its gonna have basically a .270 bullet...near the power of a 7.62, longer range and a crapload more shock speed that still keeps the bullet's tumbling abilities... This rifle has the abilities of the G36 gas system (HK made a M4 varent with the G36 gas system...quite...effective. .270 is a deer rifle cartridge. Last time I ever used ripped the damn things guts out.

    Im pretty sure there will be a choice of 6.8spc for regular ground troops or .223 for the carbine. Im getting a 6.8 AR-15 soon.

    Im pretty sure some M4s will be left in service, but with this new system you can mix and match to a better extent. with the controlled recoil we can go back to full auto and match wits with the ragheads in the feild.

    Point made, who cares about recoil when you can proliferate him with .223/6.8 fire?

    I don't think 6.8 will be able to go 1 handed. but most of the time i doubt they will be 1 handed anyway.

    Which is good.

    ah i like how the magazine release can be accessed by that little level in the trigger guard, and the reversable cocking handle.

    Nice stuff. I love H&K.

    IAnd it even comes in TSA green!

    just use the 100 round dual drum magazines or the underslung grenade launcher and you have your whole TSA arsenal lol.

    I think the M4 is Semi-Automatic, and M16's Full Automatic. Or vice versa, I'm not sure.

    nope, both are fully auto. difference is in the length of the barrel, the m4 is designed for more special ops type stuff (swat teams) where you're expected to be closer to the target. I think anyway, I'm sure some gun nut will show up and prove me wrong.

    Why not use a fictional gun? like the M1A1 Triple Pulse Assualt Rifle of deep rising.

    I was under the impression the M4 was a full automatic gun and the M16 was burst and semi-automatic gun.

    The M4 is the shortened Carbine version of the M16 which is a full sized assault rifle.

    Both can come in versions with select fire

    The M16 used by the US military is semi auto and 3 round burt.
    the M4 can come in Semi-Auto Only/Full Automatic or Semi Auto/3 Shot Burst varients.

    M16 = Safe-Semiauto-Full auto
    M16A1 = Safe-Semiauto-Full auto
    M16A2 = Safe-Semiauto-3 round burst
    M16A3 = Safe-Semiauto-Full auto
    M16A4 = Safe-Semi-3 round burst
    M4 = Safe-Semi-3 round burst
    M4A1 = Safe-Semiauto-Full auto

    I think...

    [Edit] These are the standards, you could ofcourse modify an M4 to have Safe-Semiauto only. [/Edit]
