Unable To Connect To My Server...

<div class="IPBDescription">no, it is not a client problem</div> Please help me, I just can't get this server to work. The problem is that whenever I try to connect, it stops at around 90% of the connect bar (precaching resources). I can connect very well to other servers and other people I asked get the same message. The server was freshly installed (10 times over by now), even copying another working server onto this one didn't help. If anyone wants to try, the server is "up" at 195.20.108.173:27025.

I suspect that the server always restarts when somebody tries to connect, as the ping goes up to 4000 and a few moments after the connection try it is back at the first map in the mapcycle. Rcon works, though.

Please help me

    Plain vanilla server or did you add metamod or otherwise modify it? Are you running NS 3.0? Did you update to the latest version, 3.0 b3?

    it is a plain vanilla 3.0b3 server, except for the fact that amx is running.

    I'd suggest trying to start the server with/without amx to see if this problem is amx specific. after that make sure you don't have "secure=1" or "mp_consistancy=1" since these two cmds aren't compat with NS very well at all. I think you can get the consistancy to work with an addon module but it's not worth running if you're having issues. I'd try to revert to a stock server.cfg to rule out any issues there. Also cut your motd.txt down to a single short line. It's proven to cause issues if you make it too large, and consgreet and amx_message via amx is better anyway.

    doesn't amx use metamod? So you need the adjusted metamod dll from modns.org ? Better still remove metamod and start there...
