    And the second set of 3... Silly new forum restriction. :X

    Generic ramp room. Mini Station Access or something.
    <img src='http://planethalflife.com/awmaps/pics/veil_11-24_4.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

    Getting darker... must be close to a hive...
    <img src='http://planethalflife.com/awmaps/pics/veil_11-24_5.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

    Backing into infested locales. (the control panel at the end of this hall is the one from the back of shot 5)
    <img src='http://planethalflife.com/awmaps/pics/veil_11-24_6.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

    Enjoy. Progress is shooting along right now. May be playable before I head home for Thanksgiving, best case scenario (this would be Wednesday morning). Worst case scenario, it should be playable by next Monday or Tuesday.

    Great work, KFS. I'm really impressed by the marine start. Awesome design there.

    Lovin it. :)

    Yeah the use of those chair models is good. You couldn't really have pipes going to the cc coz they'd stick out into no where if it got destroyed.

    I like it but the CC is abit in the open, maybe like a door infront of it would be cool, but thats my opinion.

    If I didn't know better, I'd say those stairs leading up to the CC were real.

    Again KFS you make me re-think my areas. my marine spawn is a rather bit flat and open. i know you dont need to hear this but, excellent work <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Surely, you're a talented mapper, but try to go for something new.
    Something original!
    The look of your map is kinda overused though it looks great!
    My 0.02$..
  • FieariFieari Join Date: 2002-10-22 Member: 1566Members, Constellation
    Overused? You mean, it was used extensivly in eclipse. Which is true. This is the mapper who made eclipse, and he's making another map that's located within the same general facility, if I'm not mistaken...

    Although he didn't say so in this post to my knowledge, the mapper is doing wholly other projects, this one is merely a smaller version of eclipse, in his own words, to thank the NS players for their support of big eclipse.

    Exactly. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I was so stoked by the success of Eclipse, I decided to make Eclipse2. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    ns_kara and ns_valhalla will be completely different, fear not. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Besides, I did after all <i>define</i> the look of this map with Eclipse (as did Merk to an extent with Hera, though our levels developed independently around the same textures), it's the others that are overused. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> hehe...

    Wow! this looks really good, clean as always, tight brushwork and great use of texture. Looks massive in size , specialy that first pic, really like those kinked handrails too, they look realistic and very proportional! Thumbs up m8! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Now i'm an amuture (if not half step lower) mapper and I wannted to see if i can make some NS maps for fun and practice. They say u cannot test map the map so i was wondering how it works on a server. If I were to make my server on 1 of my lan comps to play the map do i only have to have the map on the server or does it have to be on the player comp also? I don't understand how they made it with NS so i'm just wondering. If u don't got a clue to what i'm saying plz say so.

    Oh and good work!
