I don't want to bore any of you with my complaints, but I basically have come to the conclusion NS2 is not for me.
I've emailed store@unknownworlds.com but they seem to be ignoring me, has anyone here gone through this process?

Pickle, I'm sorry to hear you want to leave behind NS2. I can only hope that you stay for a little while longer as the developers are finishing up the rest of the content and then will be ironing out the performance issues. When I first bought the alpha build I was pretty disappointed with what I got for my money (Which was no servers or content at all). But I waited around for a while and didn't message for a refund and I am glad that I did because this game has gotten 100 times better since then and I expect it to get 100 times better from now as well.

posting this thread is a good start, as far as i've seen they've resolved everyone's issues when they've made a forum post about it. hope to see you back in the future, when the game is in a better place.

I'm not sure about NS2 but Steam doesn't give you a refund...

They do give refunds. Steam has nothing to do with the payment.

They will write you back as soon as they have time, don't worry.
May I ask what you dislike on NS2? Just as feedback for the DEVs.

Probably a good idea not to give a reason, the fanboys will just come down on you like a tonne of bricks and try and talk you out of it for the next 5 pages.

there are fanbois here? for the game in its current state? lol.

there are some people that have faith the uwe will finally get the game decent for 1.0, but they wouldnt try to talk anybody out of getting a refund. i've never seen that happen here at all.

no raging fanboism here, really. maybe just people that plea for civility.

    please do. :)

srsly, there has been plenty of criticism & suggestions about the game - from everybody. disagreements about powernodes & bunny hopping, for example, doesnt = fanboi.
supporting uwe's attempt to make ns2 a different game from ns1 doesnt = fanboi.

there may be a handful of posters that support all the ns2 changes as locked in & unchangeable, but uwe doesnt believe that & you know that really hasnt happened.

I bought NS2 back in the beginning of February before this 'no refund' policy was drafted in. Does that make a difference or am I fighting a lost cause here?

I think UWE is so exstremly nice because they're giving back the money to it's buyers if they regret buying NS2.

Never heard any other company doing this, especially in my country Sweden. Everytime you buy something from the store you can't get money back, but if you order it through itnernet you have 2 weeks to regret your decision. If you don't regret it in those two weeks you cannot do refund.

Point is, uwe is exstremly nice for giving money back to peopel.

But I don't really understand though why people want their money back for the most amazing game ever, and it's so small money we're taking about. This game cost about 30 usd right?? . It's nothing, not even when I was in school and had no job, thougth that 30 usd was much.
The abbreviation for Old Ass Gamers is OAG. OAG is something more then just a word, it makes us gamers understand the passion. The passion that you never want to stop playing video games. That age is just a myth and not even age will stop us.

Just wait until Monday man. This isn't a huge company who has customer service open on weekends, they only do this kind of work Monday - Friday I am sure.

I bet you hear something then.

Because it isn't the most amazing game ever? Because they want to make it clear that they were not satisfied with the product? $30 probably doesn't matter to them, either.

We've never had a "no refund" policy. The person in charge with authoring the refunds is our technical artist and has a lot on his plate, so it sometimes takes a bit of time before he gets to his emails. If you haven't heard anything by mid next week, post again in this thread.

Everyone else, there really is nothing productive in trying to find out reasons why someone is getting a refund and to try and talk them out of it, and the thread will get out of hand very quickly, so can we please just let it drop? Thanks.

Sigh... I was really hoping not to have to do this.

Thread locked. Picklesnipe, if you haven't been contacted about your refund by Thursday, please private message me and I will see what I can do.
