    They've edited config files, if I'm not mistaken.

    In the options there's a toggle for rookie mode, unless it was removed.

    I think that option was removed, and when it was there, it would turn off after a short while unless actually a rookie. Editing the config files can yield perma green name, but I couldn't tell you how, never been interested in doing it.

    Up until a few updates ago, I was being returned to green every update automagically by the updates. It might not be deliberate trolls.

    Don't know if the issue still occurs as not loaded it for a long time.

    You can still turn on rookie mode in the options.

    If you leave it on, it automatically turns itself back off if you are not a rookie. So yes, these people have done something to the config file.

    The shadow badges are usually a good indicator that somebody is NOT in-fact, a rookie. :)

    I've actually seen a rookie (10 hours playtime) with a shadow badge lol. But that was only one time and I never saw that guy again.
