...at least for me it seems.

I've noticed the past few weeks I've been getting noticeably worse performance (frame rate tanks) as the round goes on, especially when cluster grenades are being used, as well as a VERY noticeable hitch every time I fire a shotgun, or one is fired near me.

I've also been getting some noticeable hitches occasionally that are accompanied by an error in the console: "[6205.033] MainThread : Error: Attempting to sync an invalid collision rep!"

I have a pretty beefy system, and performance has never been this bad in the past. It's just these past few weeks I've noticed things slowing down considerably.

I have experienced this on both NS2+ and non NS2+ servers.

EDIT: This "hitch" occurs while just on a local server as well! Also, I've asked around and nobody else seems to be able to feel this hitch either on the servers I've been on.

EDIT2: It's also present in the beta build.

I said I was getting some sort of lag, hitch, or something earlier tonight. It happened only when I had shotgun so it might be similar.

Please create a plog which helps in this case much more than only the log ;)

How do I go about doing that?

Open the console and run p_logall, a .plog file will be created and saved into your %appdata% folder ;)
More details about plogging (including a small guide of the ns2 performance analyzer) can be found here

I've got the plog file, but no clue what to do with it.

.........here ya go. (the forums should really allow *.plog files to be uploaded :( )

Are you using high or low particles?

Aha! I was using high particles, but the REAL culprit, I've just discovered, is DirectX 11. Switching to 9 for good, now. :D Weird that that never happened until now... :/
