I tried disabling page file a while back. It made my windows run slower and make some windows not responding for a short while when activated. I guess windows still needs that for some sort of caching. I have 16GB RAM as well.

Normally a windows application should not crash because lack of memory. If the stuff loading does not fit into gpu memory, you just drop stuff to main memory. If main memory is full, it can drop stuff to virtual memory (page file). Only if this gets…

With dx11 I had to alt+enter ten times to get the second screen to show at start. dx9 didn't have this problem.

Ok. I just thought I misread you at first time since there is one huge flaw. On second round both teams then have the information of other team's spawning position before the game even starts.

If you are going to make fixed spawns why not always make good spawns for both team instead of bad ones?

I don't really see why NS2 cup organizers are so afraid getting matches played during the week. (especially qualifiers) Reschedules are anyway played mostly then and people have time then.

Locking fps didn't do me any good and ns2 vsync does not really work for me. To get the game smoother I had to use adaptive vsync from nvidia drivers as well as triple buffering. Disabling SLI also sounds like a plan.

There is. You can draw with easy opponent because of imbalanced map (which you should have won) while your rival beats same team in balanced map. That's like saying it doesn't matter if maps are balanced or not. -

Last time I check marines run about same speed as skulks. You can quite easily cover both nodes with one marine. And if you have not noticed, SKULK HAS TO BITE THE NODE TO KILL IT. Hiding in vent does not really help. -

There's no way marines should be able to get into vents meant for aliens. If a vent causes inbalance I would suggest removing it.

Not many things are as annoying as when in combat your screen becomes all blue and you realize you walked into a frigging hologram. Tram also has one in logistics that should be removed.

1600x900 should give better performance than 1280x720.
