Probably not. It hasn't made a difference with the player count.

EvolveNS and Wonga are the only one's populated publicly by real players. -
So, the playtesters really did a good job again, right?

Balancing two sides with massive variances, differences and skills required to play them is impossible. Making a game fair, now that's possible. Balance talks always make me lol.

Consequence of age is something only a parent can advise on.
We all learn differently, however, if I was American and I lived in a land where guns were readily available and gun crime was the highest in the world, I'd never let my child … -
Fun games are the most popular. That's why DOTA 2 is more or less 99% the top of the steam list.

Motion tracking, Parasites, Spore.
NS1 and 2 has that 'skill-less' kill too. Maybe IronHorse should get off his high horse? -

The irony is you can't argue with sales figures and player base. COD year after year attains the highest sales for a video game, it has been that way for at least 5 years. The multiplayer is one of the longest played, look a… -

What? Without quality you can't get popularity. You also realise you're talking about a game which many users still report problems trying to get to run and the main gripe about it is it needs performance upgrades, and always has b… -

I'm confused how a game that struggles to get on the steam top list manages to get in the top 25 shooters...

Being critical is a great skill. However to be critical you need to use your own views, opinions, experiences and knowledge. Being this critical not only does not sell reviews, the masses do not want to read this. If anything, you … -

Yes they do. It's very very rare you come across someone who makes games for a living and does not play their own game. -
I'd prefer performance be increased so it's a playable game with recommended specs before someone spends time on a 'feature' that is about as necessary as chocolate is to being a material for a teapot.

They left off too many games that are better than half the list

Lots of defending a game here. Reviews are reviews, they're someone's opinion. Whether you agree that demo's are or are not the way forward in contrast to someone else's opinion OR that performance should be mentioned is your opinion. Let this guy h…

I actually wonder if the game was taken away from LUA 3 years ago and hardcoded to C/C# if there would be anywhere near the amount of problems as there is now.
-
My resolution doesn't affect my FPS, nor does disabling 1 or 2 of my other monitors. Performance seems CPU LUA limited, which is a massive shame.

(Quote) Just seen this. If I remember rightly I never said anything that was "not nice". I think I said something similar to some teams care by creating a game that performs better, rather than talking to their community all the time. O…

How do you judge 'care'? *snip * if you can't say anything nice.. - Ironhorse

What have we learned so far?Performance sucks, people are arguing over DOTA, "fixing" NS1 things doesn't make a good game, player count dropping, team play is a detriment and not a positive, individual skill is not rewarded, th…(Quote) I agree, without those top competitive players that are around all the time, people are not captivated. At the end of the day the object is to sell games. If your product is solid enough you can continually …The irrelevancies of these game comparisons are going to get you no where, especially as the genres you're comparing are so different.I think we can see the main problems stem from the teams core objectives, ultimately ending u…(Quote) NS1 was far more popular than NS2 at this stage, casual and competitive. Funny that.I love how the NS1 community has been alienated by the additions in NS2. I don't see any of the old competitive players, I see these new guys, that I know nothing of, all raving the game is great, but can't give me a tangible reason why.
