I almost always build my base right there by Pod 6, using the Thermal vent for power later, and the western cliff face for my moonpool/cyclops parking etc. This is an excellent tutorial on how to find the jellyshroom base without getting lost, too. …

Change the color of the Gasopd clouds to a sickly neon green or whatever, so green = poisonous cloud. Then you can tell the difference between the constant little clouds of Peeper blood (which are far more common now) and the gasopod cloud (which ca…

I'e stopped playing, until this particular glitch is resolved, its game crippling for me.

This happens to me, too. Can shrug off repeated attacks by Sandsharks, but run into a couple of game fish and arrive at my destination with 87% structure on my *armored* Seamoth.

You might have been believable with the 'I was just stating my opinion' thing, Calarand, except for the sentence in your OP where you make the comment about the 'ego' of other players (whose play style differs from yours). You were being condescendi…

A full power burst from the Seamoth Perimeter System failed to kill one, or even significantly harm it - it teleported away as the special effects were dissipating.

Its definitely an old card, because nobody can live on Lantern Fruit since it got nerfed. Also his comment that after 5 or 6 solar panels are installed, none of the other energy sources are valuable is an exaggeration. In shallow water, solar panels…

It has all the appearance of a Bug in game. I even made a bug report on it in the forums, because it covers up the player model and acts like a huge pile of seaweed between you and the rest of the game - and its displayed on non living objects like …

I doubt it, that's kind of the 'happy ending' right now.

I see mine going up and down inside my base, but only by a few points.

I'm guessing the Crabsnake came up through one of the entrances to the Jellyshroom Caves, chasing a fish maybe, but it sure is weird the number of aggressive/damaging fauna that have been appearing in the Shallows this game. I thought the high numb…

There are a LOT of warpers in Stable/Survival right now. They have surpassed Reapers as the most annoying/ever present concern, in my game.

This particular sound clip, when I'm underwater and halfway between my life pod and the Aurora wreck:

The tiger plant won't shoot at my Seamoth (very cool) so I lure the local predators over to it, and let them get riddled with darts. Its like a Flak Trap in WW2 Online, lol.

Thanks for the tip! I went back and found the door (s) that I hadn't cut through, and inside were six copies of the moonpool fragments.

Survival for me. The food/water issue is only a pain in the very early game, and after that its just a reminder that I'm a ship wrecked castaway, not planetary colonist. in Do you play in Survivor or Explorer mode... and why? Comment by scubamatt September 2016

In the early game, I use one or two of the signals as 'free nav beacons' that help me keep track of where I am, when combined with the default one for my Lifepod. After that, they are almost never of any use to me, and I'd rather have something else…

If you have a desire to live dangerously, you can use pipes to build a Reaper trap and lure one into it, then cage it...

LOL especially since you're a Dave!

I've seen these too. I just assume that they are damaged and the data can't be downloaded. (I steal feel cheated when I find one that doesn't give me anything new to read.)

PADI and SSI here. Haven't been diving in a while now (life/job/etc interfering) but I agree that the game really captures the feeling of diving.

Drowning survivor, here. I have a real world fear of drowning again, that is *really* strong when I am swimming/floating on the surface, yet much reduced when I am using scuba and underwater (true story, I fell asleep underwater once, in a swimming …

Compact. I'm a shipwreck survivor, not a scientific expedition. I pack as much utility as I can into the space I have. I usually end up with two or three small bases, one of which has (is) a moonpool for the Seamoth. With the PRAWN in Game, I might b…

Just remember that with the latest update, you now take damage from the hot water around a thermal vent. You'e going to trade health for the opportunity to harvest silver from those vents, especially early in the game when you don't have a PRAWN.
Also, time is compressed in game (note the day/night cycle). You aren't matching 1 second real time to 1 second in game time, with the O2 counter.
Crash powder is sulfur based, and apparently self oxidizing as it burns underwater. All you need is charcoal for some explicitly non-peaceful crafting.I can see it now, insurance adjuster on the phone with you "So...you had eggs for Ampeels, Gasopods, and Crash in your habitat, and you planted the bottom of it with a couple dozen Acid Mushrooms? Show me on the map where your base used to be?"(Quote)
Perhaps you should look up the definition of satire:

Your thread title is, and was, an insult to folks who asked for a simple spear in game. You deliberately lumped those folks in with the ones who are asking for automatic weapons, lasers, and other Call of Duty: Subnautica ideas. Yo…(Quote) Again, your lack of experience with real spears is showing. No, it cannot do everything a spear can do, and it definitely is not 'better' by any stretch of the imagination. It *is* different, and in fact it *is* a muzzle loading rifle. A …
