I've, ahhhhhh, cheated slightly, in that I'm still using the same save from when solar panels could still be put on the cyclops.......
I use it for the following:- diving bell for O2/safety (reapers)
- when I think the seamoth mi…

At least we're still alive -
so far I've always built my main base on that extension of the safe shallows, that's got a thermal vent....
near to the suface for lots of solar power, able to get 3x thermal reactors in the vent without any destruction needed, then do a bit o… -
5 lightweights, (and ultraglide fins and a rebreather)
for me it strikes that near-perfect balance between time and speed and carry capacity, especially as I usually do my resource gathering in a cyclops (which still has solar panels on the to… -
For me it's happened once, but since I generally don't make the rad suit until about day 30-60, it's never bothered me.....

eye eye, Cap'n!
Watching over the ocean as ordered! -
(Quote) wait - so pipes are (eventually) going to come in as a means to carry O2 from surface to base?
-
perhaps some sort of inventory log "dang it, no useful weapons beyond the knife in this PDA, not even a gorram stasis rifle" kinda thing?

I'd like to see all hatches have an air-lock system, much like the entry point on the cyclops is clearly an airlock (lower hatch wet side, side hatch dry side)
simply add a 'dry side' hatch , even if it's open whenever you're… -
I *DO* think that if you at a depth of less than or equal to 0m, you should *ALWAYS* replenish O2..... because you can just open a topside base hatch....

So having re-read that last passage when sober, I can confirm it is even better, and fully awesome!

I'd have thought that the gain/loss of exoskeleton would have happened at a much smaller scale (micro-fauna)
and that the reaper is probably more closely related to the stalker
whilst the bone shark is probably more closely related the … -
I am reading this slightly tipsy after a night out, think I need to be sober to get the full awesomeness (having to re-read every 3rd word isn't helping), but still excellent.....

putting my credentials out there first - I'm a nurse, who's also done a chemistry degree (took physics at A-level), and one of my nurse friends is also a scuba diver (I will show this to him when he gets back to uni)

wait! do grav-spheres actually sink the lifepod?!

are you referring to a WoW achievement called 'the cake is a lie'? or similar or one called 'binky' or 'Torgaljin'? -
that rather mimics my first few game-weeks, then I got the cyclops, at it all became soo much easier..... it's much more energy efficient than a seamoth, and you don't spend huge amounts of time shuttling between base and exploration/dive-site

I do occaisionally use the charge fins, but since I'm generally sparing with use of tools (except the builder) and guns (though not med-kits!) I find that I prefer the ultra-gildes

4. I think the point is that you *can* take it wherever you go. People have (including myself) built cyclops's which then dropped into the safe shallows and either became partially or totally stuck (though you can then terraform to… -
I would love these to go in-game, now I'm gonna have to have sushi for lunch though.....

a little nod to 'Evolution' there?
Also, it kinda makes sense, the sand sharks look like your first big predator, that could evolve into bonesharks, then stalkers, reaper leviathan, then onto sea dragon and emperor.....
Excellent stuff a… -
JUNO's involvement is leaving chills down MY spine...... sodd her creators!

this is where the cyclops really comes into it's own.... take the cyclops and a locker-full of titanium and a locker full of water (don't forget your builder tool) to any of the following: sparse reef, floating islands, grand reef, (blood kelp), you…

Is this an old thread or just a repeat thread?

(Quote) wait - IANTO of the 151? or am I mixing my metaphors?

yeah, I do the same, after I got it semi-grounded with my second launch (the first one I just got lucky, I think), fortunately, despite grounding, I was able to eventually move it off (lots of wiggling, up and downing, etc.....)

I'd buy a 'Subnautica together' but would hope it'd be free for anyone who'd purchased the solo player BEFORE Unknown Worlds Set an initial release date for Subnautica-Together (that is to say, probably everyone who's reading this).

Are they going to add in physics at some point? I thought they were considering base integrity to be physics for now? I too, have objections to the physics of the base though..... Even allowing for 'it's titanium'

sorry for nit-picky-ness, it's: (Quote) and I am now in the 'carry on camp' - as I said, it's not always straight off

The LED light I picked up from a wreck..... think it was in the north-eastern koosh zone.... but there might be other wrecks it's in.....
